Take bcaa to prevent muscle breakdown. Fasted cardio is good for burning fat because your body uses it as energy assuming you take your bcaa. Fasted lifting is basically retarded unless you're already fasting in which case just try to maintain strength (you won't)

Listen to the other anons, bcaa and lots of protein/water in your eating window. I did IF and lost a bit of strength in a week but you can maintain with proper protein intake

Yeah. Also I had to deal with one of those men before on a regular basis for a while. It was exactly as I expected, passive-aggressive, feminine, spineless, milquetoast, glassy-eyed, balding insect. Tried to lecture me on what is politically correct.

Don't fast indefinitely. Fast for like 8-9 hours a day, and eat right before you workout.

I just started my cut at 183lbs three weeks ago, I'm now 171lbs. I fast for 8 hours every day, eat one sweet potato, have a spinach and fruit smoothie, and like 3-4 chicken breasts. My lifts have dropped unfortunately, but only about 5lbs each. I'm sure if I counted macros I'd be able to cut without losing lifts but I can't be bothered with the headache.

I should also note I run my ass off every day for 30 mins.

Tell me about it. The one I met was pretty aged, about mid 30s, had grey hairs, but still looked so feminine, and his beard, it was so patchy and awful looking. I really think that this is some kind of syndrome in people that comes about from modern living.

How long is your fast? Just a daily thing?

For years my eating schedule has been no food all day and then calorie intake around the window of 7PM-11PM. Just my preference. Anyways, I always lift while fasted and eat shortly after. I have a diet extremely high in protein, again just related to preference.

Unless you're extreme fasting (multi-day) you don't need to worry about muscle breakdown. Take supplements as needed if your diet doesn't meet your goals. Don't worry about the BCAA meme like others are saying because it's really not that big of a deal. Again, assuming that you're not talking about extreme fasting.

For reference, I'm 6'1 200lbs with a 515lb deadlift, 465lb squat. Sub 10% bodyfat.

I'm actually curious, you lift on an empty stomach? How do you manage that, especially if you go heavy? I've tried it and absolutely hate it, I feel weak, slow, and unfocused. I have to eat before I lift to get a decent workout in, but I've always wanted to try and fast for the entire day just to build discipline because food is the hardest part for me.

Yeah completely empty. I work all day and only have water while I'm there and I don't eat until right after I get back from the gym. I've noticed that some people get really tired from fasting, and others like me feel really energetic and alert. Maybe it's an experience and adaptation thing, idk. I've been doing this for years and I don't really remember how it was when I started.

But when I lift on an empty stomach now, I feel really full of energy. When I finally eat afterwards, I feel rather lethargic and comfy/sleepy. It goes away after digesting. I haven't noticed any decrease in PR's while lifting on an empty stomach either, quite the opposite actually.
