No dosing recommendation or advice on how to avoid overdoing it.
C’mon bro

it's a trace mineral, gonna be really hard to overdo it, just try it, 3-4 drops should be good as a primer

you can find that anywhere.
There isnt any danger of overdoing it unless you have a thyroid condition. Japanese people eat like 20x the RDA from seaweed with no consequences

I did the same thing and didn't really notice a difference

I am hypo and I take 200ug selenium followed by 5 drops of lugol's 2%. Is this legit? I feel way better.

prob cuz not american
american diet is pure lard

most people in the world are deficient in it

Why not just eat naturally iodine rich foods like seaweed or mussels? Overdosing iodine can be dangerous too, and whole foods tend to be safer than supplements.

>eating literal ocean garbage
Okay

>tfw take iodine with no difference
Feels bad man

dont all multis have iodine in them? and salt

salt has a negligible amount of iodine in it

It's all placebo anyway

I never needed coffee to focus anyway and I sleep like a baby so I don't see the point.

iirc sea salt does not contain iodide, however rock salt contains it.
>master race land locked country reporting

not a placebo, gave some to my mom and she was up and running and woke her up, some people are legit deficient but they'd never know since rda in the US is so lo

do fast food places not use iodine salt? Americans get shit loads of sodium and i thought basically all salt in the us was iodinized

Is idodine tincture (46% alcohol) safe to drink?
inb4 memes

Buy selenium. Take it with 50mg of iodine. See if it does anything

of you could just fucking eat brazil nuts

good idea actually since I'm not salting my food or eating any form of bread I might better add iodine.

5% or 2%, what'd be better for a first timer?

Offal also contains iodine. Nobody eats kidneys or liver anymore.

Nigga where the fuck do I get seaweed without going into those retarded, godawful overpriced health stores? And I'm allergic to seafood, so mussels are a no-go.

Wikipedia says only 2 billion people are deficient, and most Americans get enough on a daily basis.

was literally looking for that screenshot to create my own thread for this and here you are. This is the real fucking deal everyone. We are being poisoned by what they put in our water and not to sound like Alex Jones but take this supplement and get your life back. The used to give people this stuff as a first treatment for basically anything that's how miraculous it is. But now we're told the RDA is virtually nothing, that the doses the people in this thread are taking would be lethal, and the shit they put in the water actively removes this vital nutrient in your body.
I have been convincing everyone I care about to try this and all but one have felt better than they have in years.

You are sick and you don't know it because you've never been healthy in your whole life.

I bought 2% and took 3 drops and was literally feeling incredible by that night. It sounds like a placebo, I know, but it also sounds like I was deficient in one of the most critical nutrients for the proper functioning of my body. You can always lay with the dosage a little and find what works best for you. Some people take like 15 per day, personally I do 3 in the morning and 2 when I get home from work in the afternoon. I have felt great basically every second since I started taking it about a month ago, where before I was almost constantly depressed. If this is a placebo, it's amazingly potent.

Oh you mean (((wikipedia)))? Not saying there is, but if there WERE a conspiracy to deprive everyone of a vital nutrient necessary for proper health and mental clarity, Iodine would be the perfect target. And look at that, flouride that is present in most water supplies (if not in your water it gets in your food from the water used in manufacturing everything we come into contact with) depletes all your iodine!

I'll give it a whirl. Gotta keep a clear head so that one day I too can make it.

what do it do?

just took 25mg(10 drops) of iodine with selenium for the first time. Might be placebo but I feel REALLY awake rn will report back if anything else happens.

are you guys tryin to poison me?????

im 6'2 and my mom gave me iodine tablets when i was a child
but i think it was too much because my teeth are crumbling away

>Doesn't use salt enriched with iodine.
*laughs in burger*

I would throw a boron supplement in with that too because it helps synthesize magnesium and zinc, as well as decalcifies the pineal gland.

>it's hard to overdo trace minerals
You know we need a few micrograms of arsenic in our diet don't you?

So if fluoride depletes your iodine, then wouldn't it just deplete the iodine you take from the supplement?

>taking out his manlet rage on america and mommy not feeding him iodine
should have just given you estrogen desu

Attached: he does it for free.gif (490x750, 370K)

Iodine deficiency has an actual physical effect. Your throat and neck feel very stiff and might even show slight pain.

But you can fox that eating a potato or a glass of cranberry juice. And after that one meal youre safe for like a month.

These red pill threads are a joke lol

You don't need to eat a lot of seaweed. In some cases literally just one small salad a week gives you all the iodine you need, though it heavily depends on the seaweed. But the point is you don't need to eat a lot.

the idea is that you need a small amount to not get goiter. But you need a lot more if you want optimal performance.
not him but iodine is heavier so it displaces fluoride

You know what's fucked up? I was a loser in school. I had zero energy or motivation. You get the picture.
Now in college I came close to dropping out but found out about iodine and bought some the next day. It was exam season and I was doing badly so far.
I took it the day after, before an exam. Swear on me mum m8s I had endless energy I wrote and kept writing until the time was up. I did just as good in my other exams and barely cleared my term. Now I'm doing much better and I'm grateful everyday, iodine saved me from NEETing my life away.
Yes I have hypothyroidism, my meds don't work though. Iodine helped tons and still does, it raised my body temp up from 97.3c to 99.5c, I don't even feel cold like I did. Truly a miracle supplement

How long will this Lugol’s Iodine last me?

enjoy your thyroid problems. Just eat iodized salt and you'll be fine.

Y’all are retarded.

You get iodine is milk, tuna, yoghurt... if y’all don’t eat that already wtf you eating for gains.

so with all the daily threads about supplements you wanna tell me that iodine is such miraclous stuff without being brought up in every post?

>iodine is heavier so it displaces fluoride
Is that really all it is?

this
most american table salt is iodized too, unless you go out of your way to buy the one that doesnt have iodine in it.
>people in this thread really getting tricked by OP to buy iodine supplements when its super easy to get from having a balanced diet

Does it have to be lugols?

Seems hard to find in Canada and shipping from amazon will take a while

Easy, just move to America bro

>not using iodized salt for cooking
How the fuck do you even get an iodine deficiency these days, that's like getting scurvy.

Attached: 1527625065516.jpg (1280x720, 90K)

You don't get enough, damn you. I doubt you even get 12.5mg a day. The RDA is pure nonsense.

Ammount of iodine in salt isn't enough retard

Iosol is good too. I live in the third world and can get either that or lugol's within 4 days, prime fulfilled. Just lol at canucks

If japs get so much why are they all skinny fat depressed basement dwellers with no drive in life?

>>not using iodized salt for cooking
non ck turd. Iodoized salt taste like shit. Get some real celtic or kosher salt and youll see how much better it tastes.

Still here. I feel really energetic and alert

Started taking iodine to keep my thyroid safe from all the radiation.Feeling more energetic than usual. Placebo or not its still doing something

Because you actually can overdose on it, too much inhibits thyroid function. There's a study showing japanese women with the highest iodine intake were more than twice more likely to be hypothyroid.

Not the actual study I had read but there's a bunch when you search, like this :
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5345857/

Thing is, fluoride inhibits iodine uptake by the thyroid so you can actually take large doses and not absorb much (1-2 drops of lugol's is actually a lot, more than 1000% RDA but it's fine for a while if you have consumed fluoride through water in the past). Also Boron apparently removes fluoride from the body.

Also fun fact, Israel has the highest concentrations of Boron in the soil on Earth and they don't have fluorization of water. "Ironically" they push for fluorization of city waters everywhere else.

Really makes me think
They also have the lowest rates of arthritis.

Boron and vitamin K2 keep calcium in the bones and have decalcifying functions. Arthritis and heart disease are caused by calcification (of joints and arteries, respectively).

If you're just gonna take a couple drops of iodine a day then you're probably fine but if you're going to take more than that I highly recommend reading and following this:

stopthethyroidmadness.com/2013/12/29/companion-nutrients-the-key-to-iodine-protocol/

Also look at the symptoms of low iodine and see if you have any of those. Big one being body temperature. Check your temperature each day. If you're getting 98.6 or really close to it each day you're fine. Other symptoms are dry skin and spare outer eyebrows.

i have heavy problems with memory and thin outer eyebrows
definively gonna try iodine thanks

alright so I can get the Lugol's on amazon
where can I get some cheap selenium zinc and magnesium supplements and sea salt?

Attached: 1530651648637.gif (1000x640, 127K)

Selenium 200mg 100 caps-walmart $3
Zinc 50mg 200 caps- Walmart $4
Magnesium citrate solution - $1 for 10oz at any store. Take 1.5 teaspoons

Don't need sea salt.

why don't I need sea salt?

Attached: 1530140833395.png (1876x1120, 91K)

not him but I never had any detox symptoms

Really you're saying 95% of Americans don't consume salt?

Most salt is no longer even iodised. In UK for sure it ain't, in murica I think only specific brands are.

Do you only eat salt retard?

Maybe if you use it as table salt.

As iodine is often added to table salt and processed foods in the US.

Couldn't I use iodized salt instead of Lugol's?
and do I really need those supplements?

I no longer have a thyroid gland and do not require iodine to function. Taking iodine would do nothing for me

Attached: Bertrand-Russell-1951.png (700x467, 87K)

In my country (Brazil) is mandatory by law to every 1g of salt to have 100% of iodine added. Theres no salt here without iodine. Even kosher salt. This is to prevent cretinism in the remote regions. We have the lowest iodine deficiency rates in the world.

I'm actually appalled that you guys don't have it in other countries too.

This thread reads like something a bunch of 40-year old women on Facebook would post about

This

Medifag here; you're fucking autistic. The only thing Fluoride and Iodine have in common are their valence - literally nothing else is interchangeable, there's a reason if you're exposed to radionucleotides they only give you iodine tablets instead of fluoride tablets.

None of you are fucking iodine deficient, google the placebo effect (which STILL FUCKING WORKS IF YOU KNOW IT'S A PLACEBO.)

Attached: 1525222799917.png (268x325, 87K)

you're an idiot, they used to test people for iodine deficiency but everyone came back positive so they just skip that and start treatment with iodine. I know what the placebo effect is and it cannot produce the tangible positive effects I have experienced. I'm not just saying "wow, i feel good". Just because it didn't work for you and you are bitter, or maybe you don't believe anything beyond your (((literature))) doesn't mean you can be a know it all fag. You're probably a shill.

Sorry lads, iodine won't fix your laziness or ugly face. Pure placebo. Stop being a pussy and do that shit you've been putting off for months.

don't they compete for the same receptors?

So if I eat a shitload of salt with everything do I actually need iodine or are store bought salts Jewing me?

Are you black? Because the only way you'd get through medical school is if you're black. Because this has nothing to do with what we're talking about. The reason fluoride is taken up over iodine is because of concentration. My question was about the weight of iodine. Nothing you said has anything to do with what I asked, all you're doing is trying to dazzle the stupid goyim with big words that have nothing to do with anything.
