What the hell is the point of this thing and why are their 5 obese boomers at my gym that show up every Wednesday and bash it against a punching bag for an hour?

Is that a shoulder rok rip off? If so it helps with shoulder health and mobility

It's an old Indian technique that strengthens all muscles involved in fighting off competitors for the coveted shitting spot on the river bank

So much angst

exactly. there's pressing, rowing and pulling too

Wasn’t good enough to stop white people from taking the land though.

dots, not feathers

I guess what you said still applies though

Persian-Indian technique. Though I think they're doing it wrongif they're bashing it against a punching bag.

It's called a "Gada mace"

not those Indians you fucking autist, Hindu Indians

i have actually done a sledge hammer workout as part of a cardio circuit..in my backyard.
it was actually a (((fun))) way to mix up the dull monotony of cardio. I had some very nice forearm and shoulder gains as a result.

It's more for endurance than strength.
I do it because I like old stuff, but it's only an accessory to me.
Although my shoulders and knees have never felt better.

>not doing mace swags

fuck off OP you mother bitch

why not just chop wood or sledgehammer a tire

>knees have never felt better.
how?

It’s similar but different enough to make it worthwhile to do both. I feel like it helps my mobility and keeps my shoulders feeling healthy.
