I'm starting to perceive The Moomins more as a psychological horror show for kids now. I remember especially this episode. The feelings of humiliation, negligence /social discrimination, panic and fear of transfiguration and isolation are all neatly packaged into this episode. Hell, I can still totally sympathize with Moomintroll.
