What are your hobbies user?

you do have hobbies right?
no video games arent a hobby

Attached: VAxxAOZ.jpg (1038x850, 86K)

I like camping, gardening, walking/hiking, making scale models(WW2 tanks mainly) and furiously masturbating to questionable material.

Apart from that last 2 you are my man

For me it's what this user mentioned minus the last 2 plus swimming and videos explaining how certain things are done

being shit at guitar
being shit at piano
being shit at music theory
being shit at chess
being shit drawing
The list could go on

Programming, video editing/filming, script writing, photography

pornography and masturbation are my hobbies.

this is me, im embarrassed so im just gonna tell people irl i dont have hobbies

cooking, taking care of my plants and aquarium and watching movies/shows on Netflix

drawling and um antique shopping

camping, shooting, reading, swimming, masturbating, piano

Attached: 93d.jpg (530x688, 57K)

Antique shopping sounds interesting. Do you just go to a lot of stores and look at what they got and buy random good looking things or do you collect certain things?

I play an instrument, mountain bike, draw, read lots of history and non-fiction books, write books sometimes (though they aren't much good), I fish, crab, and hike/backpack..

no user.
antique shopping is just sugarcoated hoarding

I've recently been getting into homebrewing, I made an apple wine that was a little weak but still quite fun to drink and I'm gearing up to start making mead, thinking of maybe making a melomel (mead+some kind of fruit in the primary ferment), any ideas for which fruit I should pair it with robros?

Video games, mostly, OP

Currently learning to draw.
I like to do research on random topics I find interesting. Lately I've spent a lot of time researching about why Japan has a hard time keeping CP off the streets and how their society views this.
I enjoy storytelling as well. Anything from films, anime, vidya etc. Sometimes I'll watch a film and spend sometime after, breaking it down, scene by scene, dissecting character arcs etc.
Will these impress normies?

Gardening, photography, hiking, camping, playing guitar/listening to music, hanging out with dogs

Doing nothing and enjoying nothing

amateur music production

Yeah, I do archery, mainly. Not that I'm any good at it. I've been shooting for 6 years with a stupid metal-framed re-curve bow that's heavy as shit (Draw weight of 26lbs). Bought a sweet looking Mongolian horse bow and had it delivered. Light as shit, and fires beautifully (Draw weight 40lbs), but my stupid ass has been relying on sights and shit for so long that I can barely hit the target at 30m. I cook too.
Pic related, it's the bow

I... I like to count my pubes. I got like .. Don't worry bout how many I got. Just know.

Browsing Jow Forums is the only activity I do in my spare time

Hobby-an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure. I dunno man, video games sound like a hobby to me. Anyway, video games, shooting guns, watching anime, and going to live concerts.

Years and years of electric guitar
Painting and playing warhammer
Reading
Long walks w/ doggo
Golf

I like music, listening, collecting, and playing. I'm working on an album this summer so hopefully that works out. I also like to cook, write short stories, poetry, and scripts, shoot guns, and biking

existing

ogiginalfag

Shooting guns, but I never get the chance to
Writing stories, but I'm always too lazy to
Making puns is really the only thing I can even call a hobby.

I'm into tabletop RPGs and high-powered rocketry. Used to be into shooting sports as well but don't have the time and money these days.

Magic the gathering, tabletop rpgs and Gundam plastic model kits.
Otherwise I read, watch movies and play vidya
Tried getting into fishing but my work kept me from going at my preferred time which is about 3am on Saturday morning

alcoholism, masturbating, weed, spending money i don't have on shit i don't need, all generally on a solid path towards oblivion

Is being a useless parasite a hobby?

If the definition of hobby is "an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure." I enjoy fapping and watching porn. I tried getting into real hobbies but I get discouraged when I'm not good at whatever hobby it is

where do you find people to camp?

I can draw and animate but not anime garbage.

Target shooting
Collecting military shit
Reading history
Typical Jow Forums stuff

Who here
>can't publicly acknowledge hobbies
?

Need some normie-approved cover ones.

Been doing martial arts for close to 2 decades now. If I had any recognition I'd like to develop my own system of martial arts.

Try it with pears
Also trying to learn how to draw and research interesting topics. Recently its been art design and fashion

>target shooting
where do you live that this isnt socially acceptable?
I am and I would rather tell someone I like target shooting than tell them how much of a nerd I am.
Then again I dont go shooting often enough to call it a hobby I guess

California

There are people that are far and few between who I can talk about the subject to, but it's gotten to the point now where knowing that the military uses guns, or that things in the environment can be dangerous if misused is "problematic".

I used to make my history hobby be the cover for my shooting one, but even that's problematic nowadays since people just jump straight to assuming far right wing revisionism upon hearing the word "history" no matter how many times I disavow said revisionism and stick to things you can find in any typical college level history course.

Better luck next life user

I'm working on getting into writing. I ordered Tarot for Writers by Corrine Kenner from Amazon a couple of days ago and I'm gonna start using that when it comes in. I also play Chess against Chess Titans because people online play defensively and trade down unnecessarily. And I also play guitar which I started to get into a couple months ago but now that I'm out of practice the prospect of having to redo all the shit I just did makes me not want to play. I'll work on them eventually.

I'm trying to learn to draw, I still know I'm very beginner stages but I know I'm a lot better than last year.. I feel kinda bad since the only thing I can really convince myself to pick up the pen for is weird fetish art, but I figure drawing that is better than not drawing at all.

Guitar, drumming, fixing mine and my family's cars, binging Dr.Phil

Well, I guess there are worse fetishes
But not many

>can't publicly acknowledge hobbies
Tell me about it...

I'm an amateur medical examiner. I read medical books and dissect small, fresh animal carcasses I find in the woods (I do not produce my own cadavers, as that would be a violation of the Hippocratic oath). I perform pseudo autopsies, study the tissues on my microscope, do dyes, make my own slides, determine the cause of death, all that as professionally as possible. I'd say I have about enough knowledge to perform a forensic analysis on a human body at this point.

I feel like such a creep sometimes.

Steven Universe fandom - This is what the creators of the show want from their fans

I play warhammer 40k. Necrons and demons with chaos space marines.

>steven universe fan
>footfag

bloody hell mate, save some trash for the rest of us

Have you considered working in medicine? That way you can talk about it and it would be your job.

I also really like fishing. I like to wade in the water of a stream and wait for them to start biting at my toes, then I'll swoop in with a net and throw em in a bucket. Dace, Bass, Gar, Sunfish, Bluegill, Catfish, Suckerfish, etc, I've bagged em all.

Being shit at something is the first step to being pretty good at something. I'm proud of you for trying. Start where you are, do what you can.

That is genuinely the most interesting hobby I have heard of so far.
A little creepy yeah but it not serial killer creepy

I read fiction and am planning on reading up on programming.
I've been interested in guns but I live in western Europe and it's illegal to own them (you need to fill out a 10 page form and go through years psychological evaluations to get a tiny pistol for target shooting in my country) and it's socially unacceptable to even express interest in guns in conversation with most people.

I'm going to try get into the gym once I'm done treating my nasty hemorrhoids, since the doctor advised against any heavy physical activity for now.

This is genuinely extremely interesting.

That's pretty neat user. I think as long as you aren't killing things to examine you're out of creep territory. Would you want to do this professionally?

>I feel like such a creep
funny, I spend a lot of time learning about serial killers. Their methods, motives, histories etc. Like read tons of books on them and have listened to hundreds of hours of podcasts about them.
I thought my hobby was pretty creepy but now I don't feel so bad

>Interests are Vidya, MTG, DnD and other tabletop rpgs.
When normans ask me if I have any hobbies I just say no. It's way too embarrassing to talk about these
virgin things in public.

Other than video games..

Reading, drawing, writing, watching anime, guitar, listening to music (if that counts), watching movies

most of you are full of shit or summerfags
the average robot sits on here drawing new oc in paint over and over before deleting it

How did you get into DnD user? It looks interesting and id like to get into it but I dont know where to start

Guitar lately
Bjj used to be one of my hobbies, I miss it a lot but I can't afford to train anymore.

Not that user but I got into it during high school because a friend invited me to try it out. Then when I went overseas I got a new group into it by telling some of the people I was friends with about it and then asking if they wanted to give it a try.
bottom line is to ask some friends if they're interested. Otherwise there's Roll20 for online games many of which are open for people, best way to find a group is through /tg/ or reddit. There's also Adventurers League which is an open event hosted at local stores which specialize in these hobbies but I don't know anyone who has actually tried that.
There's also some podcasts which seem to draw normies in even if they teach some bad habits, these are Critical Role and The Adventure Zone. CR also has youtube videos
If you really have an interest then grab the books from the 5e general thread on /tg/

I want to get a 2 year degree in forensic science when I save enough money for it. I need to get my mom to help me pay for it too.

>not serial killer creepy
It's all medical. It's just that my interest became so deep that I decided to get some practical knowledge on organic tissues. I had to see it for myself.

I like it but I feel like such a creep. Also medical equipment isn't that expensive. Except microscopes and some chemicals. I don't even fuck with formaldehyde since I don't have an adequate ventilation system. That shit will fuck you up bad.

I don't kill anything, of course. I just dissect and study. I don't keep anything, I always incinerate it. It's not like I have a morbid obsession with dead things.

I'd like to do this professionally. More specifically forensic pathology.

I like to assemble computers
similar to how guys like to assemble miniature ships.

Collecting LEGO. I have been collecting pretty much since I was a little kid and I am 23 now. Now I really want to build something huge soon but I lack parts and most importantly experience. I have been thinking about building a sci-fi city in Lego but I keep telling myself that I have to be original and take as little inspiration from other sources as possible. So I haven't started yet and just keep playing video games since it's the only other thing that keeps me sort of entertained. Also collecting Lego is painfully expensive and I don't have a job so I pretty much get Lego only once in a few months. Life sucks.

LEGO IS MY KINK. ;)

Cool, what Lego themes do you like the most, user?

Made friends in highschool who got me into MtG, then we eventually decided to give DnD a shot. One of my friends was really into it and bought all the books, we play 5e.
Also made a bunch of other friends who wanted to play pathfinder (edited dnd 3.5e) and we booked rooms to play at local uni.
Pathfinder is harder to learn, but the basic resources are free online
5e is way easier to learn, but you'll need to acquire "free" complete rulebooks online or fork over some cash
5e also has the basic rules pdf which is free for all beginners at the official website.

If you don't have IRL friends, head to roll20 and apply to be in a campaign.
If you have IRL friends who are likely to play nerd shit in person, then you need to "get" the player's handbook, starter set and dungeon master's guide.
Get figurines, you can buy lots of random ones in bulk (doesnt have to be dnd exlcusive), a chessex playmat and non permanent markers. You're going to
have to be the be the DM (you control monsters/encounters/npc and plan the campaign) if it's the first time for your friends as well. You're probably going to be the DM for a while until your friends are comfortable with the rules and want to do their own campaign.
Thanks for asking, user

>tfw I'm sitting here trying to figure out if that's me from 10 years ago in that picture

I had the same kind of hair, wore the same type of clothes, same amount of fat, and sat alone half the time. The tables, chairs, and soda machines look really similar to this alternate education place I went to. On final inspection, I don't think so. His head looks a bit differently shaped, but that is fucking uncanny.

If you and your friends still play you might want to check out the Planeshift splat books for 5e. They introduce certain planes like Innistrad, Amonkhet and Ixalan as settings for 5e.

Oh yeah I saw that, I'm planing on playing the new naga boys in a campaign soon. Innistrad was also a great block, the flavor was so comfy
Oh man that makes me feel pic related
Everything is absolutely perfect in that pic. The sunlight highlights the subject and reflects his blindingly pale complexion. Slouched posture, and brooding nature is contrasted by the group of friends eating together and conversing.

A hobby is a regular activity that is done for enjoyment, typically during one's leisure time. Hobbies can include collecting themed items and objects, engaging in creative and artistic pursuits, playing sports, or pursuing other amusements.

being really really good at piano, have been playing since age 5 and now i amm 24

Thinking about getting back into piano, but I'm almost 23 and feel like my brain's solidified. Learning something simple like claire de lune is taking forever. Is there any hope for me?

For the moment, I've just got into video editing.

i play terraria on every single platform i can get it working and when im not doing that i like to paint with watercolours

How do you make mead user is it with honey?
And apple wine dont you mean apple cider?

Guitar (mostly blues), learning obscure kanji, making toolkits for extracting assets from vns (Python or C#) and books (mostly Oxford's VSI series).

I had some, but then stopped them all after becoming more anhedonic and cognitively impaired.

I like shooting and I have a 3d printer, spend a few hours a day making something new usually.

What have you printed? Legit the only use I can think of is like two small things for around my house and if I really wanted to get into tabletop gaming

I play the bass and the guitar, I have a solo noise rock project
I read, mostly history and philosophy but also literature
I listen to a bunch of different kinds of music

Yes. I watch cartoons then look up hot characters and fap to them.
