Is that a good idea? Or is Japan so fucked cause of a political party or something?
Last I heard was them about their population(how it's declining) Knife murders on the rise, Suicides are even higher, and most of the people there who are slightly well known are getting caught with child porn.
Japan has been the only reason for me to live these past days, and I can't die yet until I get there.
So, if it is fucked beyond all measure, I wanna ask Jow Forums for other countries to visit.

It’s a fine place to live but there are barriers to becoming successful as a permanent resident. I would start by coming on a work visa and studying the language as hard as you can. I sperged out hard when I got here but I’ve since lost almost all interest in Otaku shit. Haven’t watched an anime in two years. So at the very least it might make you normal again.

I don't mind. Being a Hermit in Japan just moving from city to city sounds good(with enough savings I may do it). I mean, I'm getting in for the culture. The sites of those epic battles in the Sengoku Jidai. The burial site of Oda Nobunaga is a big one for me. And maybe some areas up north so I could also let the ainu culture sink in. Plus the Ramen, I'm learning that Japan prefectures have a certain ramen to their taste, and I wanna taste them all. It's just a more interesting country for me. There's also an impression abroad that it's a high-tech place, but the entire country appears as if development stopped in the 90s. It's certainly clean, but old and creaky. It's like going back in time a few decades, even in the nicest parts of Tokyo. They're also extreme money grubbers. The biblical story of Jesus cleansing the Temple means nothing to the Japs. You'll find traders in the most "sacred" places. It's a horrible place.
