When you're an irredeemable piece of shit

When you're an irredeemable piece of shit

I'd fucking smash food in their faces.

>how to get your food spat on; the post

>the absolute state of poorfags
I had half off a meal the other weekend
I tipped the waiter off the non-discount price though
ending up leaving a 20 on a 40 something dollar total
only poorfags or assholes don't tip

you just opened yourself up for the britfag mutt jokes

>tfw never ever tip
Get a real job waitcucks

Wagies are animals that need to be tamed. This man is simply doing what a master needs to do. Don't be ragie.

>Americlaps get paid so poorly they rely on tips
The state of it lads

>Be American
>Go to gas station
>Fill up the tank
>Tip the machine
>See nice lady
>Tip fedora

As someone who has waited tables, once the first dollar was gone and I realized what the gimmick was I would neglect them.

>Dance for me, food slave.

> B-but tipping is the primary source of income for waitstuff!
Why won't they make their bosses pay actual money to them?
> B-but that would make the food more expensive!
It would not be more expensive than it is now. It would just include average tip that you were going to give anyway. Currently you only look at the price in the menu, see rather good numbers and forget about tips remembering about it only on checkout. "Tips" make you buy more than you would otherwise.

This person has swallowed a metric ton of other people's boogers and spit by now.

>Please pay me to do my job, random stranger

Apparently the tips are split with the cooks? I'm assuming the cook gets a full wage, why would they need you to give them more?

Pizza delivery is the stupidest job ever, since you're basically signing up to be in the red and have to make subdued puppy dog faces of pity at every person who doesn't want to give you a tenner for driving 5 minutes with something they didn't even make.

I think this is good practice to remind wait staff that the quality of their service matters, but 5 dollars is a really low tip for two people at a restaurant

>the whole 5 bucks
what a piece of shit. i've always tipped at least $10 in any situation where tipping is expected of me, regardless of the bill. maybe thats just my trust fund babby privilege speaking though.

Maybe if america actually did let immigrants overrun them, tipping would stop being a "necessary evil"

I tip foreign waiters more because I can't understand them and their harsh, judging eyes scare me. They play the intimidation game, not the pity game

Straight up. Fuck these people and their five dollars. Nobody should be fucking treated like a child over five fucking dollars.

if immigrants overran america tipping would no longer be necessary because immigrant workers would be fine with earning the lowest wages possible regardless of tips you moron

YES, earn those 5 goybucks wagie!! Hahahaha!!

Attached: 1532078848700.jpg (250x237, 10K)

and also the immigrants wouldn't tip, so underpaid waiters would die out

This is how worthless American boomers feel powerful.

You know you're a brainwashed cuckold when a pissing contest is about how much unwarranted free money you can throw out

American reminder that here in the world's #1 country in imprisoned population per capita if you are a regular at a restaurant, you will need to tip everytime or suffer poor service in future visits. If you are trying a new place out, or vacationing there's literally no need to tip.

That comes to $49.99

>......PLUS TIP

>be generous towards those less fortunate than you
>get shit on
never change, world. never change.

It's not about the money. I don't fully agree with tipping as a practice. Tip or don't tip, doesn't matter. It's about not treating another human being like shit.

This is true. Staff will learn your name and judge you harshly if you tip poorly. All it takes is 1 visit and they'll remember your poor tip forever.

Another thing to mention is that unless you're with at least 3 other people, most waiters will give you poor service on account of your table's estimated combined tip not being worth the extra effort.
God, I love freedom

generosity is a spook

> People like this live in america
> a situation like this is possible in america.

Two of the many reasons why the USA is a shithole.

fuck off stirner, don't you belong in an undergraduate philosophy classroom?

>you are poor if you don't want to give money to people who are already being paid for doing their job

but isn't it your responsibility as a patron of a tip based establishment to enable the employer to underpay the staff?

It's not about the matter of generosity - and it can hardly be called generosity in most cases, since tipping is expected and you're seen as an ass if you tip "not enough" and an even bigger one if you don't do it at all. Unless I am uninformed, waiters give you menus and carry plates - there is hardly a way of doing that in a manner that enhances the experience.

The attention whoring for Facebook makes it pretty annoying. The term "the wife" also infuriates me.

I would just go pick up the food and bring it to my table myself if I was allowed to. You'd save 10 bucks just walking between the kitchen and your table a few times. That's not a task worth 10 bucks. Maybe a quarter, but they'd be offended if I just gave them a quarter so I just don't tip.

Attached: 35cnm7w.jpg (900x900, 77K)

Might as well levy a tax on those who eat out at restaurants to subsidize businesses, instead. Tips are supposed to be a gift for good service, not a requirement for average service.

>this coming from the country that will scream and yell if you so much as suggest healthcare and education be made more affordable

This is something both buffets and cafeterias use to their advantage, but they're not as popular, for some reason. I'm with you on it, though.
Give me a McDonald's experience with sit-down food, it doesn't matter to me.

if tipping were replaced with a 10% sales tax at restaurants, it would be much fairer at least. Then everyone could just say "damn those politicians and their taxes, that'll be 49.93 plus tax"

>It's not about the matter of generosity - and it can hardly be called generosity in most cases, since tipping is expected and you're seen as an ass if you tip "not enough" and an even bigger one if you don't do it at all.
of course it's a matter of generosity. i could just tip the minimum that's expected of any decent person (10-15%) and i'd get away with it, but i always tip more because i was born into particularly fortunate circumstances and i know that my tips directly benefit those who work hard but weren't born into a rich family like i was. funny how the only people who shit on me for tipping big are people on the internet, while the actual employees of the restaurants i frequent often give me extra food and engage in casual, friendly conversation with me.

>born in weat coast US
>tipping is common courtesy for some odd reason even though they already get paid their salary aint my problem
>that mindset didnt bump well with my family
>as if i killed that fkn waiters son because i didnt tip him 5 bucks for my overpriced and over rated normie hipster food
It always put me off ease that i owed that extra money to them, maybe im just autistic.

Attached: 1531746467195.png (500x461, 372K)

>the people I'm bribing like me plenty

What the employer pays his staff is none of my concern. It's up to them to work out an agreement on wages. I should not have to be involved. I'm not involved in any other establishment so why are restaurants special? If you're unhappy with your wages then organize a strike. It's not my job to compensate you for your faggot employer's shortcomings, you wankstain.

I agree with you, but your meal is being held hostage over this

Most civilised countries do this. It's a basic 15% service charge.

I agree, but instead we have a weird kike-devised system with no upper or lower limit based on guilt-tripping customers. Call it a tax or a required gratuity, it doesn't really matter. As long as there's a hard number, there can't be a fucking barter system for service I have already supposedly paid for

that if that was his goal all along

Attached: 1504355490255.jpg (1200x1683, 172K)

nor a threat of contaminated food if you don't

>paying good money for good service
>bribing
again, i'm not surprised that the only people who bitch about this sort of thing are faceless anons on Jow Forums

>bribes the wait staff so other patrons get less service and it all goes to him
Dick

how much money do waitresses make compared to the cooks?

it's exactly bribery. you're paying for preferential treatment.

yes, clearly i only spend extra money because i get off on depriving other customers of quality service. you niggers are something else, you know that?

That sounds like their problem and they're taking it out on me. There is a clear price listed for services rendered and I paid it in full. If it's not enough profit to pay the employee, then up the price an extra few bucks and I'll decide whether I want to keep going there with the new price hike. That's a lot more honest than threatening to sabotage my meal if I don't shell out extra cash. That's nothing but extortion.

no, i pay extra because most of these guys deserve it, and they give me somewhat preferential treatment because they deal with cheap assholes like you on a daily basis. not my problem, bitch about it all you want.

You may not intend to, but your unchecked autism causes it. You're the worst. Just pay 15% like everyone else so it's fair, you absolute scumbag

I'm not against tipping out of the kindness of your heart if you receive exceptional service but carrying my plate and writing down an order is not worth 10% of what I'm already paying

I mean the matter of generosity isn't the point of the argument - in your case, you are being nice because you want to, but you can hardly equate a regular tip with being generous, because it's expected.

People treat service industry workers like dirt. But some service industry workers stay in the business regardless. Anyone who can manage to gain other employment should be well motivated to do so; and with the money from their new endeavors, and the experience of their past servile work, can choose to treat service workers better.
But these people never seem to recognize that their shitty experiences in the food industry served as catalyst for their escape from it. Are generous, understanding patrons serving to lift restaurant workers to a higher quality of life, or to keep them placated in a dead-end job?

Side-question, if you are a quiet, unobtrusive bar patron, and you find yourself being passed over two or three times in a row for people who yell and snap their fingers, is it your fault or the bartender's or both?

>You're the worst.
unless you ask people who work in the food industry. they'd probably say i'm the best. i tip big, i never bitch about anything, i don't expect anything extra but i'm grateful when i receive it. i like talking with the guys who work at the restaurants i go to, and i'd like to imagine they enjoy talking to me. only on Jow Forums can someone turn this into something wicked mean-spirited.

>you're an asshole if you don't empty your wallet and throw money at people you've already paid the listed price for doing their jobs
ok cuck

Attached: 1532031696545.png (742x742, 326K)

Arguing over overly big tips to gain favor with those who oppose tipping, yet still managing to slip in the 15% rule into your post to keep it in the public consciousness - you waiters are really sneaky.

>because it's expected.
this is the core problem with tipping. it's not generosity anymore at all. If you were giving from the kindness of your heart, you'd be tipping your gas station clerk, your coworkers when they help you, your police when you see them arrest someone.
tipping wait staff is expected, so you can pretend you're being generous the same way you can pretend they're being kind when they tell you to have a nice day. It's just to be expected and would be rude or worse if it didn't occur

>empty your wallet
lel, don't worry about my wallet poorfag. i assure you it's not empty after i leave the restaurant. and if i simply pay the price on the bill without tipping, i've mostly benefited their boss. i enjoy knowing that the kitchen crew and waiters take home a few extra dollars, they generally work harder than the manager or restaurant owner.

Tipping is founded on bribery. By bribing more than other customers, you're actually demanding more service than the other patrons, causing the server to neglect other patrons who would tip the normal amount. You're a rich asshole and I hope one day you're set on fire in the streets.

>tip generously
YOURE A RICH ASSHOLE BRIBING THE STAFF FUCK YOU, LETS WHIP OUT THE GUILLOTINES
>don't tip generously
YOURE A RICH ASSHOLE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THOSE WORKERS FUCK YOU, LETS WHIP OUT THE GUILLOTINES

>tips
holy kek America is backwards

How about you just tip like everyone else instead of being smug, ok? Good, buddy.

trips confirm that tipping is a lose-lose situation

The idea of generosity is flawed anyways, since people think it means something along the lines of self sacrifice. As if the big tipper doesn't get the balm of thinking he's such a nice guy and everyone else can think how nice and cool he is. I don't even mean that in a derogatory way; we all think like that.

i'm not smug and that's why the staff at most restaurants treat me like a normal decent human being, i ask them how they're doing and they ask me how i'm doing etc. again, only online do losers jump on the opportunity to demonize me.

>already admitted he empties his wallet to bribe the waiter and receive preferential treatment over other customers
>is now denying it

Also sounds like they're pretty stupid working for such a pittance and not demanding higher pay. Sounds like it's not my problem as well. I don't tip the Mexicans who farmed the ingredients for $1 an hour. Why should I tip waitcucks? They accepted their pay. Their fault.

Attached: 354deaa3770912621bb816da070346ab.jpg (258x245, 12K)

>server does a shit job
>leave smaller tip
How is this evil?

>The richest country on earth
>Grovel at my feet for your food money, tramp!

yeah, in my opinion, there's no true altruism because of that.

>already admitted he empties his wallet to bribe the waiter
go ahead and quote the comment where i admitted that, i'll wait here
>i posted le smug pepe so i'm right
stay mad poorfriend

the way you've described it, it's almost as though you're paying for them to be your friend for an evening.

They only make conversation with you to milk more money out of you, you betacuck autistic faggot retard. If you weren't giving them money they wouldn't even make eye contact. They're basically prostituting themselves.

The waiting staff are already being paid
>The waitress did a shitty job
>Bitch and complain to their boss

So, what's with this tipping shit anyway?
Why not pay service staff in money instead of the opportunity to receive charity?

>projecting
i pay them for providing me good food and good service. sure, maybe i enjoy the casual conversations i have with them. what's wrong with that? both parties benefit. only faggots online get mad.
i really don't care why they make conversation, the conversation is nice but it's not required, i tip nicely either way. it's not like i'm going to reduce the tip if they don't make small talk with me. you fags are so insecure, i swear.

Because it's the richest country on earth, and that means nobody can afford to pay their staff.

I tend to tip on a curve:

Blondes: 30%
Brunettes: 25%
Redheads: 40%
Men: $0

I wish I were kidding, but I owe $4000 on my credit card because I can't contain myself when I see a belle.

But isn't that like Dubai or some shit?
I bet waiters get paid with money there.

>tie string to $50 and leave it on the table
>yank it away as wagie reaches for it

Attached: cdb.jpg (499x499, 17K)

No I'm asking why tipping bad waiters less makes you a piece of shit.

that's a shame, because waiter's service is almost always better than waitress's

This is unfortunately because waiters who aren't exceptional rarely last, since people like the user you responded to tend to not tip men much

fuck of r*ddit faggot. Its painfully obvious . with your retarded typing ."never change, world. never change" and "Straight up". If you were being genuine about being generous wouldn't you help those more in need ?

yeah, either you kick ass as a waiter, or you flunk out and go back to digging ditches

I stress that I say this with no enmity user, but you are the worst kind of patron. Have you ever fucked one of these waitresses? If not, I can only ask why you would pay a woman more than a man for the same labor.

Why the fuck do Americans ever even eat out? You're actively being blackmailed by a bunch of no-skill workers who will spit in your goddamn food unless you bribe them. How is this in any way something desirable?

>go to restaurant bathroom and wipe my bum with 1 dollar bills
>put them poop-side-down as tips for wagie

Attached: Poo_Poo_Pee_Pee_meme_obeso.jpg (269x188, 7K)

how do you know that i don't volunteer to serve food to the indigent at my church most sunday mornings? how do you know i don't donate to soup kitchens and give old clothes to the salvation army? what exactly have you done for the poor lately my haughty friend?
>muh reddit
i miss the days when nobody gave a fuck about faggit and you didn't just accuse anyone you didn't like of being a redditor

This on top of the situation where most restaurant workers can't afford to take off sick days, so they're more likely to be ill while handling your food.
I don't personally go out to eat, for these such reasons.

It's just our culture, stop being anti-semetic.

Who the hell only tips five dollars? unless you live in Idaho or some other cheap area like that there's no reason any American should tip that low.

Attached: 74354758220d42a62fc87260138d94d2a40089b568a44cc1dc108a5b4ba3f525.png (450x500, 262K)

The food is better than fast food, typically, and is superior than what most of us can cook, ourselves. Also, bitches like restaurant dates, since you get to bribe the waitstaff like dogs. OP's image is a powerplay type of thing men like to do on dates. It's why date restaurant waiters tend to get tipped more, as men on dates tend to have looser wallets.

going out to eat is fucking awful.

>sick workers contaminate your food
>rushed cooks burn/undercook/fuck up your food
>have to pay them money for something you can do at home
>ingredients probably aren't fresh
>kitchen is probably a mess

what's the point?
