The africans I've met in my life were alright. Obviously they were rich, since they came to study in my country. I've met congolese, angolan, cape verdean and bissau-guinean and they were all alright, better than the average joe. Their society seems to be outdated though, their mentality seemed to be closer to how the western world was in the 90s
