Why are genetics so cruel? Don't our own genes know we are fond of our hair and our happiness and mental health are tied to physical aesthetics?

because humans evolved to have kids around the early 20s or even earlier, before hair loss became a problem
after the genes are passed on, you can fuck off and die as far as genetics cares

Also I don't think mammals our size were supposed to live past their teens, we fucked up natural life span. Just becuase we "settle into out adult looks" later doens't mean we shouldn't be already dead.
