>be me >18 year old casual gamer >move out of my parents house, they gave my money to pay for an apartment >first thing i set up in my new home is my pc >turn it on and open steam >open tf2 >join a casual server >1 fps >quit the game, open up terraria >1 fps even in the main menu >decide to open up my computer to clean all the dust >set it up again >turn it on again >screen doesn't turn on, as if it was suspended, with the light showing that it should be on but the screen itself isn't >make sure it was well connected >it is >have a mental breakdown
Did i break something? Did i fuck up? What the fuck happened to my pc? Now i have to play in a shitty borrowed 10 year old laptop that blue screened me three times already...
Look man i just wanna waste some time playing games for hours, but now i can't even do that
Joshua Gutierrez
go to Bestbuy or something to get a guy to look at your PC, if they have a GeekSquad, if you have illegal shit on your computer you're not out of luck, unless if you're broke
Luke Jenkins
I'll try to save some money then No, i don't have anything illegal, At least nothing that i can remember (Maybe just a controversial game)
Juan Collins
I hate to say it because you probably love your games but he's right, you're better off taking it as a sign and quitting cold turkey. t. 400+ days /played time in WoW
Jeremiah Thompson
download everest, do a stress test. check temperatures and shit like that
Jose Ross
What's your build? Your gpu might be busted or bottlenecked. Just put your build into pcpartpicker and see if you have incompatibilities.
Juan Jackson
>that feel
Just save up for a couple months, if you have a job. And buy a super budget tower with alot of expansion slots, and slowly wonk on it.
Easton Garcia
I have literally nothing else to do all day when i'm at home, everything in TV is boring, movies became boring for me too, and nothing on Netflix catches my attention
I can't even do that because the screen won't turn on... It's not a problem with the monitor because when connected to my laptop it works fine
I wish i knew what it has, i bought it 8 years ago and never bothered to change anything from it since it always worked fine
I'll try that... Maybe i will have to sell this computer that i'm using right now too, just as an extra
Nicholas Campbell
use task manager to check if you have any unwanted processes running that are eating up your memory also updating your graphics drivers might help
Benjamin Cruz
try taking out the graphics card and see if you get anything with the onboard graphics.
yeah, then I dunno. I would do many shit. like removing ram and inserting again, removing battery and inserting again, open up the power source.
Noah Morris
I did take out the graphics card and removimg the ram... But still, the damn monitor doesn't turn on so i can see if anything works
Jonathan Fisher
try bending the cords in different directions and see what happens, the wires could be shorted somewhere especially if youve had them for such a long time
Isaiah Murphy
Just tried it, apparently that's not the problem... Also the monitor turned on when i connected it to the laptop so i don't think that's the problem
Sebastian Brooks
I said "It's not the problem" twice, i'm retarded
Also while i was writing this (From my phone) my back up computer blue screened my again... I'm out of luck
Samuel Cox
just to be clear, there is no display with RAM in and monitor connected to motherboard output?
Landon Reyes
try resetting the computer's connectors by running magnets across everything.
Cooper King
Yes, precisely that
I try to make this reply as original as possible for the bot
Elijah Sanders
user, i don't know much about pc's but i'm not retardes enough to try this
Xavier Edwards
either monitor or gfx card died. could try reseating the card as well. good luck gamer.
Ian Gonzalez
honest opinion, just get a new motherboard and try to mix/match the parts that work or don't work.
Andrew Diaz
I'll try... Thanks m8
If i had money i would have already done that
Nathan Lewis
sounds like you're JUSTed then unless you have a spare graphics card to troubleshoot with. Maybe take this chance to go outside and avoid becoming a boomerbot.
I don't have a spare graphics card, i would have tried changing it already if i had one... Guess i'll have to leave my safe home for some time
Hahahahaha you are so funny and original user, yes, i never thought of that, i will do that right fucking now Oh no, my computer is even more broken, you got mw good user xD Fuck you, kill yourself
Jordan Diaz
>18 year old casual gamer yikes you're on your own
If you have a spare USB, burn a Puppy Linux iso to it and run that on your BACKUP laptop. It runs entirely in RAM so it won't touch the HDD. Not amazing, but it's super minimal on resources so you won't bluescreen all the time.
My consolation prize since my crappy computer can't handle running emulators in a VM. Quickpet makes Flash easy to install. I should have gave up a while ago since no one's going to see this, but I'm clearly autistic
I'm seeing it user don't worry I don't know what you are talking about but i'm here
Ryan Diaz
If its 8 years old, maybe it just overall broke. 8yo computers aren't worth even 100e
Jaxon Taylor
The thing is, it was okay before i moved, i was literally using it the exact same day i disconnected it to bring it to my new house And no, i didn't drop it or anything like that, i wouldn't be retarded enough to post this thread and not mention that
Xavier Miller
That considered, maybe you have insufficient power? Your outlet might be faulty or something, you could try plugging your pc and monitor into a different outlet to see if that changes anything
Gavin Robinson
That's a good idea, i'll try that...
John Stewart
Nothing still...
Well, it's 4:37 a.m. so i'll go to sleep now, you guys keep posting ideas on what the problem might be... Or knowing this board, you probably wont...
Lucas Powell
>you're not allowed to say a word ya you are too far gone from reality
Jose Bell
Ok well your pc got a lot worse after you cleaned the dust out, if the thread's still alive by the time you wake up, please tell us you used compressed air and not a feather duster or something cuz otherwise you're fucked
Robert Sanders
maybe your mobo got rattled around and got off the gold raisers and touched the case. Unplug th mobo from psu and take it out of th case, thn put it back in. Trust me user
Parker Perez
Everyone bump every so often. We're on a mission to save OP.
Oliver Martinez
Bumping for op
origamaroli
Jaxon Turner
Rubber baby buggies bump the thread
Jaxson Ward
I'd be willing to bet that either the mobo or the graphics card got damaged while you were transporting your pc to your new place. Did you leave the graphics card in the computer when you were moving it? Also you could check the pins on the pcie slot and on the video card to see if there's any obvious damage. Also maybe resetting bios could help the onboard graphics to work?
Mason Powell
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Apparently this isn't good enough content so I guess I need to ask a question or some kind I just want to bump te thread tho
