I recommend going to your local guitarstore and buying a used guitar. You get the guitar for half price and can with your budget get a much better guitar. Brands I recommend are Jackson, ibanez, Epiphone and squier.

Thought about also getting a Ibanez but I am not a huge fan of fender

I have a dean dimebag signature ml and its my favorite guitar. It sounds pretty good and is really comfortable to play but ypu should play one before buying

Fender and Epiphone are the only brands you should ever buy, ever. Period. Maybe Ibanez if you play metal.

9-year veteran player here. I'd recommend either an Ibanez or ESP (LTD). Deans are usually fairly heavy and the necks aren't that great imo. Also it's harder to sit down and play comfortably with all those spikes

I bought a cheap 80$ bc rich warlock from a pawn shop. I shred on it.

Go play some and get familiar. Some times pawn shop guys are cool. Show em some skill, offer a trade the right ones will make a deal sometimes. There are good finds and those rare good guitars for cheap is so satisfying.

I've been playing the bass Guitar for many years now and I think I want to learn playing e-Guitar too.
What's the absolute cheapest guitar+Amp you guys would recommend? I will only play alone and at home.

I've been playing my dads Fender with an Ibanez practice amp, I'm not very good, but it works for what I need.

Check out flea markets, pawn shops and facebook market place. You'll probably end up with a cheap strat looking thing and a ten watt amp. You can use a guitar with a bass amp even though vice versa is kind of retarded

Matt Heafy used to use them. He stopped because they kept snapping at the headstock. One actually snapped during a show.

Not sure if Dean addressed those issues.

that being said, the Cadillac series from Dean is damn solid.
