Works really well. I've been hospitalized over 4 times and the suicidal risk is almost a given.

Yeah if you feel like you are going into a psychward when you don't really belong it's hard to escape the fact you just literally imprisoned yourself. You cannot leave until released from a psychiatrist.
Sometimes that is too much for people. They aren't exciting places to be.
Some places have bunk arrangements, sometimes you get your own room with video surveillance. There's a lot of factors to play.
Oh, and definitely do not go down the homicidal route you were pertaining to. Conditions are much worst for the violent.

If you think going in-patient will legitimately help you then I'd say go for it. Social workers and the like will help you plan your outpatient care as well.

im schizoaffective depressive type and it fucking sucks. i got diagnosed in a psych ward/rehab, but i have mental health records dating back to when i was like five. its harder than you think it would be to fake it, plus most psychiatrists are trained to seek out fakes for both medicinal reasons and government assistance reasons. i guess that if you are planning on faking it you should definitely research it quite a bit. also don't tell them that you think you have it..dead giveaway right there.
