What is this boards view on race? Is it real? Who draws the lines? Should people be judged on it? Will racism always be around or will people overcome it?

I think it's real in the sense that people are from different areas of the world and have different skin colors and body structures because of it. It's an outright lie to say "everyone is created equally" when theres such a variation. As far as judging, I don't really go out of my way to judge someone until they personally fuck me over or do something nice for me. Racism will be around as long as it's able to be taken advantage of.

race is cool

Lurk moar instead of asking for rundowns faggot

I love to race.
Racing is fun.
Do you want to race me?
Oh look! I won.

Race is real and racism will always be around since we're competitive, tribalistic monkeys. There's no way for everyone to get along. Might as well prep for the race war.

>Racism will be around as long as it's able to be taken advantage of.
This is my view, it's opportunistic, someone gains by attaching himself to a group that elevates him above others. It's why I also believe purity spiralling is inevitable or as it's called now Nordicism

Of course race is real. Individuals shouldn't be judged on it because there are always outliers but it's safe to say that certain groups are worse than others, but they shouldn't be discriminated against. Racism will always exist.

Judging people on a large scale, aka their race/country/religion is something I agree with, because some groups are always going to be different than others and as humans it's pretty much impossible for us to stop categorizing things into systems that we build, however judging someone because of their race on an individual level is just called being a brainlet. And also race mixing is fine on a small scale because I believe the majority of people are naturally attracted to those who are similar to themselves, therefore I don't think races are going to go extinct over this because it's usually on such a small scale. Creating propaganda over this however is another issue and needs to stop.

Racism was invented to justify slavery (and therefore the South's economic system) but is now used by wealthy oligarchs to pit poor people against each other so they'll vote for deregulation and tax cuts

>Is it real?
Of course it is. Why do you think forensic anthropologists are able to determine the victim's race after studying their skull?
>Who draws the lines?
Everyone, though the majority just scream "race isn't real"
>Should people be judged on it?
No.
>Will racism always be around or will people overcome it?
Who knows? Everyone seeing people of other races from all over the world has only been a thing for the last hundred years.

This makes no sense. You can't make a sweeping generalization about a group but also simultaneously acknowledge each individual in that group is different. That's contradictory.

Yes you can

In terms of statistics, they're saying "these groups have different population means". That doesn't mean that every individual from the group has a 'value' equivalent to the population mean; their values are all different.

You can test a sample size of a group on some sort of trait for example and say that 7/10 have shown to have that trait, you can make a generalization based on that result because a majority have shown to have it, but that doesn't mean that it's true 100% of the time.

Racism will always exist, but if anyone can "overcome it", he is a robot. If robots could identify with their race in a strong and meaningful way, they wouldn't be robots.

Racism is what I to be overcome, being offended by racists is what you should overcome. If you're doing it right you should hear a stream of hatred directed at you and your people and feel nothing.

do you know how statistics and averages and medians work

>Is it real?
Kind of, but it's not really a big deal
>Who draws the lines?
No one, people just tend to group others by their color, because it's the most easily recognizeable feature, but there's plenty of different "white" or "asian" groups and ethnicities.
>Should people be judged on it?
No, that's asinine. All law should always be colorlind.
>Will racism always be around or will people overcome it?
It will always be around as long as we have differences and if it comes to a point where said differences are moot, humans will always find something else to separate themselves. Maybe eye color, height or waifu preference.

Obviously something won't be true 100% of the time, but it will be more often than not if it's proven so. So why would you judge every individual differently and expect them to stray from the majority? It's much more likely that they'll fit into whatever trend/stereotype that is statistically prevalent within their group than not.

It's true that it's more likely, but by looking at it like that you're going to be acting as if it is true 100% of the time, while ignoring the possibility that individuals can prove to be different from their stereotype, and a stereotype is just a stereotype, a superficial definition of something. Basically the message is it's ok to be skeptical at first but that shouldn't keep you from the possibility to explore a deeper aspect of some people.
