>Why are you still wasting your time and money on this stuff?
Made a thread last week about how I was in the process of quitting and going through some bad withdrawals. It has now been 8 days and I feel really good, back to myself but with some added benefits.
Immediate benefits that I've noticed >Stable energy levels, wake up feeling good and ready for the day - in fact I haven't drank coffee for 3 days which was a staple in my morning routine >I feel more outgoing and crave social interaction. I've always been a bit socially anxious and introverted, especially since I work from home, but I'm finding myself wanting to go out and be around people much more >No lethargic or brain fog. This goes back to the energy levels, but I would always wake up with this headache type feeling after smoking heavily the night before. My concentration is much better and I feel like I am thinking more clearly >Hard as diamonds and lasting much longer in bed with my gf. I feel more in control of the process now. Plus being around more people also means being around more girls which is making me feel more confident
Did I miss anything? I know I'm early in the process of quitting but I don't see myself ever going back to smoking weed. I really look at it as an immature thing to do despite being cuffed to it just over a week ago
Nope, it's for highschoolers, or people that have made it. I was a stoner for nearly 15 years, and all it did was hold me back. One day when I make it and am 40+ with a great house I'll likely grow a small amount for personal use, but for now I'm too focused on growth, which isn't helped at all by weed.
Logan Kelly
I'm in great shape. I generate good income. I get laid often enough. Sometimes I smoke weed. Whats the problem op?
Some people can handle certain substances and others can't. identifying your weaknesses is a good thing. But other people may be able to handle smoking it and still have a fine life.
Daniel Cook
Well at one point we all thought fapping was normal and perfectly healthy. But well well well *walks a few feet backwards with arms spread wide* what do you know? *smirks* Turns out it was all a lie. All of it. The fapping, the weed... All products of an era hellbent on promoting moral degeneracy. *flicks nose with thumb* At this point I can only trust two things. My intuition and the steel. While they study the pipe, I studied the bench press. While they studied the steam roller, I studied the ab roller.
Brandon Davis
Weed is harmless unless you smoke all day, everyday.
>i'm addicted to [substance] >I stopped consuming [substance] >"wow my life has improved" No shit.
Chase Sullivan
Put me in le screen cap
Adam Gonzalez
It started giving me severe panic attacks so I stopped
William Butler
what if I smoke all day every day and I still find it harmless? it absolutely does not have an impact on my gains.
Ryder Rivera
>Bad withdrawls
Jesus christ millennials are spoiled pussies. I hope you can tolerate all of Jow Forums's microaggressions with your pacifier gone.
Angel King
Muscular gainz are only half the battle Mental gainz take the hardest hit
Julian Perez
>*takes your ab roller and makes a bong out of it* Woah, u sure u dun wanna hit this shit bruh? Weed's pretty far out, man. It totally like, improves, the uhh, muscular mind connection. Don't be a square, man. >*laughs like tommy chong*
I've been smoking weed for so long, the only effects it has are making my eyelids heavy and makes me sleepy 2 hours later
Adrian Gutierrez
It's harmless but I believe that smoking weed constantly makes you lazier, which really isn't a problem if you know how to snap of out that mindset. Some people can't. Also, if you smoke all day you build up tolerance, which on the long run it's just a waste of money. I'd rather be extremely high a few hours than be slightly high all day.
Cameron Jones
The cannabinoids bind to your brain receptors and help regulate blood flow, digestion, and your glucose levels. This is why when you stop, and your brain goes back to normal, you get anxiety, depression and/or have digestive issues for 3-10 days (sometimes longer)
Smoking weed also releases dopamine which is why most people feel content just sitting around doing nothing. When you stop, your brain is looking for that dopamine release and not getting it, which goes back to the anxiety/depression/mood swings.
It's not as extreme as withdrawing from other things, but it definitely sucks for a good week or so.
Nothing, but for people like myself who definitely abused smoking weed, it's a noble accomplishment to finally free myself from the addiction that I brought upon myself.
I had a fine life while smoking, I just feel better now that I'm "clean"
There are some proven physiological changes that happen when you smoke weed. Saying that it is totally harmless is simply not true
Aaron Anderson
weed controlled my life for almost 20 years, and i finally just got off, for good.
i'm overweight but i lost 13 pounds in a month. about to go walk my dog and then go the gym. ate healthy this morning.
my gf is a hot gym bunny who has a good job. still not sure how that happened.
Andrew Cook
>There are some proven physiological changes that happen when you smoke weed. Saying that it is totally harmless is simply not true like what?
Bentley Moore
I completely wasted my 20s on being a stoner and now I have to play catch up in my 30s. It sucks. I know lots of people who smoke recreational without much issue, but even more that have a problem but won't admit it to themselves (including myself before I quit).
Been off it for 4 months now, it only gets easier as time goes by and now I wonder how I got stuck for so long.
I didn't really get physical withdrawals, but I used heavily to avoid emotional problems. When I quit I had to deal with them head on, which made me irritable as fuck. Also couldn't sleep well due to crazy vivid nightmares for the first month
Ryan Gonzalez
Read the first reply in that post?

okay, but doesn't porn addiciton have a similar withdrawal issue where users just crave that dopamine release?
Also, you mentioned digestion issues in passing, as if that was sufficient. What kinda digestive issues are we talking about? I smoke weed all the time, but I changed my diet around and take pre and probiotics now (saurkraut) and my digestion is better than ever.
Also, how does weed regulate blood flow and glucose levels?
Zachary Ross
The problem with weed is that I am a gay muscle girl I ya I know that you don’t know what to say to you but you are so damn cute I don’t feel good about it I don’t feel good about you you don’t know what I do but you know what
Easton Harris
weed has always made me paranoid and anti social, only thing its good with is a decent alcohol buzz. One time I smoked so much my heart started beating and hurting like crazy, basically thought I was having a stroke, my arm was going numb and shit like that. Deep breathing helped a lot at that moment, but I seriosuly thought I was going to die. That was also the moment I thought the cardio would be a good thing to integrate in my everyday life.
Xavier Williams
All I gotta do is not smoke for about 3 days, then if I do toke again it's just pure anxiety. Kept me sober just not wanting to deal with that shit.
Cameron Jenkins
Are you okay
John Gonzalez
one of the main things I noticed back when I quit was how much extra time I had
Lincoln Anderson
Weed with high tolerance is just pointless, that's what finally made me quit.
Isaiah Young
>My intuition and the steel cringe much?
Getting in shape/achieving goals and smoking weed aren't mutually exclusive unless you're too mentally weak to handle it.
I'm under 10% bf, have acquired the muscle i wanted and have the career i want. And i never had to stop smoking weed. I work hard at meeting my goals all day, and at night I can reward myself and take the edge off with a few puffs because I have the mental fortitude to not let it take over my life. The next morning I have the same tenacity and mindset as the day before. Some people can handle it, and others simply cannot. No different then alcohol.
I'm fit, aesthetic, handsome, educated, and successful. I'm also high every day.
Mad?
Gabriel Thomas
I would smoke weed, but it makes me want to fap and watch porn all the fucking time.
Cooper Rogers
i used to smoke weed every day,all day but high tolerance made it expensive and boring so i went on a 1 month break from it,i currently smoke couple of times a week(sometimes with a qt) and it feels 1000 times better compared to when i smoked 24/7
moderation is key to using weed,if you a weak mentaly and get addicted easly then weed is not for you
Today's day 9 since i quit. Didn't really quit for health reasons, recently graduated from university and depending on the job, I might get tested. I never really intended to smoke my whole life so I figure the end of the road is now.
Honestly I feel way more tired than usual. I get tired as fuck around 4-5pm everyday. I really hope it goes away. I'm considering fucking napping in the evening every day now which before I never considered.
I don't know if it's related or not, but it's the only thing that I've definitively noticed as having been different. I struggle a little bit when I'm dicking around doing jack shit. When I'm at home sitting on my ass being lazy was the time I always wanted to smoke. I think about it but it's not bad. I just get over it.
Leo Williams
I quit four months ago and feel pretty good, just really bored still. I don't want to go back because of how much money I had spent on it throughout the last seven years was well into four digits. I wish I could smoke it again but I turned 30 and I don't want to be that middle aged guy who smoked his brain away every day and watch another bunch of years pass by. I still do the same stuff I did stoned.
Owen Adams
I quit the stoner life and I'm straight edge now. Still not sure how I feel about it, lots of goods and bads I feel. It's nice to not cough up shit daily anymore though
Blake Gray
nothing wrong with it in moderation (I'm not op) but I have stopped the last 3 months and currently been feeling way better. Although it's about to become legal here in Canada and I may partake now and then once it is
Ethan Richardson
I don't smoke weed myself, nothing against it, I just don't like how it makes me feel. I've invested in a few marijuana companies so when it becomes legal here in october hopefully I can make some good financial gains off of it
Leo Powell
>hurr carbs and weed are the same thing you can't be this delusional
Aiden Parker
It's going to be pretty nice. I struggle with addiction so I hate having it in the house. I'll just buy a joint for the week end and be happy. Screw dealing with dealers who only want to sell large quantities
Joshua Phillips
>mfw today was day 1 of quitting
All I could think about was how much I wanted to fucking smoke. I know I can beat withdrawal, but holy fuck.
Cooper Morales
marijuana makes me feel good, so i like using it stop trying to get people to agree with you to rationalize your life decisions it's pathetic
Jaxon Reed
can’t this all be linked back to the fact that each study is done with smoking weed, not vaping or edibles? smoking anything is linked to all these results smoke seems to be the cause
Alexander Nelson
>thinks weed in moderation is bad >faps and looks at porn. semen retention + responsible drug use is God mode. you transmute your sexual energy into inspiration and drive.
Ayden Rogers
Was a stoner for most of my life. Almost 20 years smoking...spent a lot of money on it. Multiple thousands. Didnt get many jobs because of drug tests. Let many opportunities go and wasted a lot of time being high. Iv been almost 3 months clean. This week felt like I needed a reward and caved in and bought some. Im almost done...not buying it again not for a very long time. It makes me stupid and silly. I giggle like an idiot even when im sober while I get high later or earlier in those times. Its so bad people notice it and they know when im back to smoking.
Restarted lifting so I got that going for me
Elijah Gomez
WHY DO I REMEMBER MY DREAMS NOW THAT I QUIT AND WHY DO I HAVE SO MANY NIGHTNARES? IT'S REALLY WIERD.
Canuck here. While everyone and their grandmothers will be busy smoking it all and youll literally see groups of stoners chilling in street corners toking all day and night. Ill be sober. While everyone is getting lazy and stupid, ill be on the come up.
I welcome this legalization. I think its way overdue. Its just funny how life has a way of working. Now that its becoming legal im leaving it for good...how ironic
Adam Stewart
>Don't abuse drugs to the point it harms you This should be always the golden rule if you deal with drugs.
Ian Barnes
>wake up at 4:30am >hit the gym at 6 >go to work at a major hospital at 7 >get off at 3:45 >get home >cook some dinner >take a single hit out of a vape >relax for the evening I do this almost every work day, unless I'm hanging out with friends or doing something. Is this negatively affecting me? I feel like the high wears off after like an hour, so I can't imagine it's hurting me that badly.
>shrooms are good for your mental health >weed is too >mdma can cure depression >speed can help you focus and lose weight Ya sure they all work in moderation. But we all know once you get a taste its hard to put an end to it.
Kayden Campbell
Are you man or female? Also regardless of gender, yes its hurting you. You might not notice it now but youre actually more sluggish. Even when youre sober. Instead of doing that every day. Limit it to 3 times a week.
Gavin Powell
That was one of the biggest hurdle when I quit. I'd wake up from dreams and feel so depressed and without energy. It's better now but I still get nightmares. I woke up in sweat the other day because I dreamed a whole room of people was being electrocuted to death
Brayden Myers
You've got a long way to go pal. Maybe you were destined to be a sluggish half-wit
Christopher Scott
If your problems were the once you state and not a lack of willpower, then you shouldn't worry.
Blake Stewart
Man. You're probably right about it not being great for me. I felt at my best when I was only doing it on the weekends, but my job is stressful and I find smoking helps me chill after and be more relaxed the next day.
Apples to oranges you humongous faggot. What kind of an asshole even begins to think comparing weed to carbs is in any way viable?
I drink 2-3 liters of water every day. That's in moderation. If I drink the same amount in alcohol is it still in moderation because it was with another substance?
Cooper Ross
Because I rely on the brainfog to keep me happy. If I stop for a few weeks and the brainfog is completely gone I get overproductive and realise how much I'm underachieving and how I could do alot more. But I already have a well-paid job I like doing, a qt gf and hobbies I enjoy. I'm happy as fuck when I smoke a joint or two at the end of the day to chill out. Without weed I cant seem to chill out and I burst with to much energy and I want more in life while I already have a wonderful life.
Thomas Sullivan
I feel this, user. Why not reach for more in your life?
Adrian Walker
You don't get good sleep on weed. You sleep, but the REM sleep gets fucked with. Same with alcohol
Joseph Jones
You losers always have to bring up alcohol even when it's not relevant
Eli Lewis
is it true that the dependency on weed is usually just a crutch for some lacking part of your life? I just smoke weed every day in the summer while doing seasonal work and chilling with the buds, but when i get back to uni, i cut it down to maybe once a month or so is there some sort of addictive quality im missing in my weed or is it more about being an emotional crutch?
Adrian Perez
Alcohol takes an important part in the drug discussion, it is just as bad as cocaine and heroin.
Aaron Green
Been doing shrooms 1x a month for almost a year now. People tell me I seem alot happier, more empathic, organised and goal-oriented. Tripping makes you realise that nothing you or others value actually have value, that nothing means shit. Goodbye social anxiety, virginity and dead end job.
Matthew Ward
Are you me Shrooms destroyed any remnants of my depression that I had before I got Jow Forums
Andrew Thompson
Why would I want more? I got lots of friends, am in a few clubs, got a smart, loyal stoner qt, a nice house, a job doing what I like doing where I'm respected and earn more than I want to spend. If I want more, which happens when I quit, I get frustrated and sad. I dont want to take part in the rat race, that's not how I want to live my life.
Jack Long
I'm not you but we get it.
Jaxon Taylor
I stopped smoking weed for a whole year and I couldnt sleep past 3 hours. Years later I quit again and same thing happens. I cannot for the life of me sleep more tham 5h. 6 is really pushing it i never make it past 5:30. I get it takes time to readjust. But its been a long ass time now. Maybe i lost the ability to...
Logan King
I always have more vivid dreams (more REM sleep) after I get drunk. when I was a stoner my dreams would be dim, simplistic and I would hardly remember anything in the morning. alcohol is the GOAT drug, seething stoners will never ever be able to cope with this but it's true.
John Mitchell
shrooms are fantastic but once a month sounds like way too much. I fed off a low dosage trip with only subtle effects for YEARS.
Luke Morales
Good job user, potheads should be executed
Nathan Mitchell
You'd probably have to do it for a really really long time.
I was constantly high for about 4 months smoking atleast twice a day but had to quit when I came back home due to no availability. Noticed no withdrawals or cravings.
Asher Collins
Actually my use was about 8 months but it wasn't super heavy until the last 4 months
Wyatt Bennett
>8 months >4months You are like a baby...come back when you have 10+ years of constant use
Cameron Jenkins
>about 4 months smoking atleast twice a day ha...ha... yeah.... who would smoke that much, right fellas
I smoked 1-2 grams a day for 10 years and quit 8 months ago I bought a gram a few months back and it made me anxious and I realized how much brain fog you get on it Then two months ago I was on vacation and smoked and enjoyed it again but felt like shit when I got irritable when I ran out I still get bad urges at least once a month but it's not as easy to get because I alienated all my stoner friends I've convinced myself it's a waste of time and money but it's been hard to move on when it was such a big part of my life
Ryan Martin
Most people who smoke are retarded and have no concept of moderation.
Tyler Ross
It doesn't, these people are pussies.
Nolan Miller
Yeah getting high 3 times a week is not in moderation user. That’s too often.
Cooper Campbell
Me too. All I do is eat junk food and fap.
Sebastian Hughes
I've been on and off of weed for years now, I think I've gone more than a year without smoking, I'm not counting so that's why I don't know.
I think I've been smoking daily for like a month now, will probably keep it until I run out of weed.
I've never noticed any change in my life or myself when using/not using it, also I said this a million times and I'll say it again: I fucking hate house chores, I hate cleaning, I hate washing the dishes and laundry and it's phisically painful to do any of those things but at least when I'm stoned it hurts a little bit less.
Juan Howard
I smoke regulary and I’m in the Marijuana industry. I bike over 100 miles a week, run 30 miles, do yoga, lift, and eat well. Marijuana makes exercise fun and helps you recover from a long day. The only people who waste their time while high are already weak, baby losers. Same goes for the people who try to get people to not smoke. Do what thou wilt for it is the whole of the law.
