I can understand unintentionally gaining weight by eating this junk. But If you know you're actively trying to lose weight, why even have these things around? Why spend money on something that's gonna set your goals back?

I don't live alone. I can't control what other family members do and buy

Toblerone. I don't know about the US but in EU these things are everywhere and I always tell myself that I'll get one and eat throughout the week - like 2-3 pieces after dinner.... And then I finish the whole thing in a few hours. The only way I can justify eating these is that this is the only sugar that I eat throughout the week, normally I don't even eat fruit.

Yeah i posted in that thread, 160ish is my goal, im gonna try to get 10lb in september, the lower you get the harder it becomes to maintain a large enough deficit which is why i think i might incorporate 2 fasting days a week, so that means over the course of 4 weeks i would have had 8 fast days, which would total 2500 x 8 = 20,000kcal, 20,000 / 3500 = 5.7lb. So thats a guarenteed 5.7lb loss on top of the deficit i will have on the 5 days out of the week i am not fasting, should get pretty close to 10lb. And that is assuming 2500kcal is my bmr, it might be higher which would lead to even greater losses on fast days.
