Have you ever tried giving up the internet for good? What were your experiences, robots?

Have you ever tried giving up the internet for good? What were your experiences, robots?

tried once but failed miserably
>quit internet
>nothing else to do other than watching tv or sleeping
>go back to internet in less than an hour

What the fuck would I even do without the internet? All my reading material is on there.

Have you tried reading a book? I know some people don't like reading, but there's a lot of great books out there.

yeah of course but I get my books from the internet

You could buy a Kindle and that would eliminate the need to browse the internet.

Yes, I gave up the internet for good. It was easy, and worked well.

no, i start to yawn after like 10 minutes of reading one

Why is the internet any different to you?

if a book could offer me everything that the internet could, then i would buy one
but unfortunately you can't play, fap, watch videos and talk to other people with a book.

but your on internet now??

You won't really grow as a person if you keep doing all that stuff, user. If not growing is that last thing on your mind then feel free to keep doing you.

>decide to cut off internet
>read two books
>apply for a job
>start a project in the garage

I went back to Jow Forums 4 days later because I got scared of my progression.

I want to give up but the urge to masturbate before sleeping is too strong. And then I browse the net through the night. Being unemployed and living with parents at 26 sucks. Feel ashamed every time I have to ask for some money. So I try to keep my expenses to a minimum. That means no dating and hanging out.
Sad thing is if I just got off the internet for one fuckin month and studied properly all these issues will be over.
Hoping you guys abuse me enough to get my pathetic ass outta here

don't want to, if i were to improve myself i wouldn't be on r9k

Yeah, mainly its for my own safety. I got doxxed by my ex gf one time on her tumblr, still love her though, she didn't do it maliciously she was just obsessed with me, she just posted my town.

I can't get off the internet though, how can I get into a relationship? I'm one of the few chosen ones who can make never met LDRs work because I'm not shallow, so I decide to take one for the collective humanity.

And plus I stay pure while in a LDR,

i stopped using the internet for anything but porn between 16 and 20 and in that time i made every single mistake you read about autists making on the internet.

Please share, user. I wanna hear about these 'mistakes'.

Also I forgot to mention I'm actually autistic, so I can't leave the internet.

For some reason I didn't know why I didn't feel creeped out that my ex gf posted my town, I guess its because I actually met her IRL friend.

Surprisingly enough she's autistic too and public with it.

Anyway, I can't leave the internet since I'm one of the few people can make a never met LDR work

The internet can be a nearly unlimited supply of information. It's so useful for calling people on their bullshit, why would you ever give that up user?

Yeah that too, I knew someone who was isolated from their others friends and they didn't know that was abuse since the person was their IRL friend and even went to the same school, they read something about abuse and tweeted that they understood now.

It can be helpful, because of situations like the one I mentioned

I quit Jow Forums for 6 weeks earlier this year. No positive changes, ended up spending even more time elsewhere

everything is abuse
the web of abuse expands fractally. i'm calling out existence itself. don't buy reality's products, don't read its books

The internet is an unlimited supply of nearly everything. When you're faced with fun distractions and information, and both are as accessible as the other, it's inevitable that you will spend a lot of time consuming the distracting media.

What do you mean? are you calling what I said BS?
They knew them IRL and went to the same school, you can't avoid people you see every day.

I'm not happy to hear it, I wish everyone got along, but things like this happen :/

If you didn't live without internet for at least 15 years of your life then you're a baby ass millennial or a normalfag or both.
Not that I'm an old man but my generation and younger have no fucking clue what it's like to live without internet.
