Specify a goal and work towards it. You need to know WHAT you want to do and HOW you intend to do it. Like if it's programming, put your phoen away in a drawer and do half a chapter per night of whatever textbook you're learning. Make that part of your schedule and make sure you do it no matter what. Reward yourself afterwards - check Whatsapp, browse here, have a beer or whatever. After a while, you don't need to bribe yourself and once you get into it, it's easier to focus for longer periods of time.

Depends. When life gets really hard, I go into just-fuck-my-shit-up mode and do whatever, so extremely low self control. The last time this happened I started smoking again after having quit for like 6 months, started drinking a bottle or two of wine a day, got into a serious argument with my parents and burned bridges with them, cheated on my girlfriend with an 18 year old coworker (I am literally 10 years older than her) then immediately quit my job, told my girlfriend what I had done and then almost drove my car off a cliff into the ocean but failed because I ran out of gas before I got there.

When life goes well it creates a positive feedback loop in which I'm rewarded for having good willpower, so my willpower goes up. Now I exercise regularly, have a job in which I get paid more than I ever have before, I have solid plans to go back to school, found god and started reading the bible, worked extremely hard to make amends with my girlfriend and she decided to stay with me and our relationship is stronger than ever, started treating my ADHD, made amends with my family, finally committed to a hobby (target shooting), and have banked about $5000 so far.

You might have GERD man, I'd look into it. I went through two years of hell trying to figure out what was wrong with me and puking from a little alcohol is definitely a symptom.

If you do have it don't take PPIs, do an elimination diet and handle it with nutrition, you'll feel 10x the person you were if you do this.

I was allergic to a lot of things as a kid, I'm fine now though. I can eat whatever I want and nearly how much of it I want without issue. Drink black coffee all day, no problem, but liquor in almost any quantity is a near guarantee to throw it up later in the night.
