Easy to say with a 40hr/week job. Try a 54 hour work week (all shifts) and come back. Also, it takes 30 minutes each side to reach the factory. Have to be on call when shit goes up in flames (actual flames. Naptha cracking unit) and stay on the onsite accommodation so going upto city is 20 minutes car ride and I don't own a car.
Must wake up by 7:30 am to bathe, poop, brush and walk to common canteen for breakfast. Then catch the company bus to work. Come home by 6:40pm and pick up milk, fruits and veggies while coming back. Bath again and set aside PPE and wear night clothes. Video call mom & dad and lay down a bit. Boom 7:30. Go have dinner. Boom 8:30. Must sleep by 12 to wake up in time. So I have 3 hours 30 minutes to relax, check mails, talk to friends, check out bills, balance my finances etc. Now what do I do with these 3 hours 30 minutes, somedays its netflix, somedays porn, somedays vidya and somedays just talking to colleagues, friends or acquaintances either blowing off steam and helping someone blow off. Sundays are for laundry, groceries, repairs, maintenance, sleep and other random shit.

My commute is also thirty minutes one way.

Now that we're done running the Sadsack Olympics, let's do some real talk: I've worked 60+ hour weeks some places because they were so short-staffed and it's good money. I had an app on my phone and would use it to learn conversational French and Japanese when I'm taking a shit or riding in the car or waiting for a table to pay.
