Metalhead here. I'm also a sucker for live performances. Wish I wasn't a weenie so I could see Rammstein live before they retire. Also would be sick to see Alestorm or Sabaton live. Too bad all of my friends are faggots who only listen to ultra mainstream nigger music.
My dude, those are pretty intro level bands yourself.
Here's something you might like though and going to shows yourself is actually pretty fun.

didnt know the lyrics of this for a while but loved the rithim. Now that I know I feel its even beter.
youtube.com
German will always be the best language for metal.
>My dude, those are pretty intro level bands yourself.
>proceeds to post autism metal
nah
>melodeath is autism metal
kill yourself plebian
I gave the guy a metal rec for a metal post.
Without knowing what youre into, heres some autismgaze
I'm usually more of a power metal or folk metal kind of guy, but this is pretty sick. The guitar at the beginning is especially nice.
Also the reason I mention Alestorm and Sabaton are because I don't think I could ever get my friends to go to anything past entry level. Otherwise I'd fucking love some Korpiklaani or Ensiferum. Really need to move to Europe to get more touring opportunities in the future since I listen to mainly European bands. Other than that I'm stuck with the occasional American tour that happens to get a show near me, and then it'd be a several hour drive to go to a show alone where I'd be anxious. But who knows, maybe once the band gets playing I'd loosen up.
Did you get tickets/go to the final Slayer tour? It's a good time and both you and your friends should enjoy it
>Ensiferum
Saw them live a few years ago, they were great, tons of energy.
I was one of those guys who would never go to a show alone but I went to one last year by myself and I realized its actually great, you can just focus on the band.
Any of these "deep" metal sub-genres are autism music. Come on man, you're either lying to yourself or have never actually been to a live show for this kind of music. It's wall to wall autists at these things. For every one normal person or actually hardcore looking guy, there are a dozen scrawny skeletons or fat neckbeard stereotypes, every single one of them with long, greasy hair. Normal people don't listen to that shit and that's a fact.
Also, I take back what I said. is the real autism metal. The vocalist even has literal autistic speech patterns.
Fuck, was gonna post a Sabaton song but people already mentioned the band.
What else you got my dude?
youtube.com
heres a song from probably my favorite and one of the most underappreciated grunge bands
it really does make sense that underground or alternative music would attract alternative people.... anyways the point is to share and appreciate music not shun it because of retarded associations you make
>Normal people don't listen to that shit and that's a fact.
Why are on you on r9k then if you just shun things that are "autistic"?
I tried to get like 6 different people to go but nobody wanted to. I mean, it was the final tour of fucking SLAYER, even if you don't like metal you've got to know them, right? But nope, they're all faggots who only listen to shitty mainstream rap despite being white as mayonnaise.
It sucks too because they had a show in I believe Austin and it's only like an hour or two away from me.
travis scott is 200iq music unironically

how does this grab ya?
Because Jow Forums has never been your "please be patient i have autism" safe space and it never will be.
That doesn't explain why you're here, normalnigger
I'm quickly turning into a Koreaboo, so everything Korea interests me and that was a legit good song, even if I was not a Koreaboo I would have liked it. Thank you.
Also take this one, keeps on getting better.

That sucks. Everyone put on good performances, especially Anthrax and Testament

Here's a clip from the show I went to

Agreed. Germanic countries in general seem to be way better at metal music. Even English speaking bands from Germany/Scandinavia seem to be consistently better than anything America can produce.
Nothing.
It's the only band I listen to.
Thanks for the song user and yes I'm the same way but about Chinese music which I will leave for you in return for that song. But I agree it's probably my favorite of their songs in general along with tomboy.
youtu.be
Damn, that settles it, next show in my area for any band I know I'm gonna go to it, even if I'm alone. I have one question though, how does standing room work? Whenever I was looking at the tickets the front stuff is standing room, so I assume that's the mosh pit. But how does it work? You just go and stand wherever and enjoy the show? Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I've never been to show.
I don't really know, the show in New Jersey was an amphitheater
Holy shit that was actually really good. I really haven't looked into Chinese music because I'm barely scraping the normie surface of Korean music. Have this in return.
youtu.be
I always blast this on full volume when mum buys the wrong brand of tendies
I feel you there I'm having some difficulty in finding similar Chinese music probably due to a lack of Chinese skills also probably the fact they have a separate internet but with vpns their music usually still appears. youtu.be
Here's another of the Chinese songs I have managed to find. I liked that song you sent and interestingly I'm subscribed to the channel that uploaded it already
Yeah man, you just find a good spot to stand. the pit is avoidable if you don't want to go into it and it doesnt last the entire show.
Never given this genre a listen. Can't say I dislike it, and might check out more from this band.
I happen to like J-Rock a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if you have heard it already, but I think this is worth a listen:

No subtitles, sorry. I personally enjoy some emo stuff, and folk emo is cool, too. I'll drop one song that I like in particular, but I have more from the same and different bands, if anyone's interested.
This one has helped me get through some dark times in my life.

First comment said it best
>I always listen to this song when I feel overwhelmed by the material, hopeless and dark human world. This gives the feeling of purification and being in touch of a mysterious yet magic protection.
I can dig it.
Been in a folk punk mood lately

>IM YOUR PRISONER, NEVER RELEASE ME NEVER RELEASE ME BECAUSE, THATS THE DAY YOU DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEW
most of the thread is metal/jcore with random indie stuff thrown in so I'll throw my different hat into the ring, I tend towards downtempo/chill shit, genre doesnt matter, idk how you anons listen to angry metal all day, that shit would stress me out.
take a tune from my playlist anons, and relax a little bit
youtube.com
not all metal is angry
oya definitely, metal has all sorts of feels not just anger, that's just what I've been mostly seeing in this thread (NOT THAT THERES ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT), I do like some metal, I enjoyed pop punk for what it was, yeah yeah yeahs had some songs that really encompass what I like in a song, link related a true classic.

Ay, the pillows are pretty good.
that's a beautiful piece, user. it really feels comforting in an ethereal sort of way. here's something with more of a down to earth vibe but tender all the same:

Not bad, certainly can enjoy some folk punk, though it isn't my go-to. Here's one from a band I listen to sometimes.
youtube.com
I just happen to enjoy loud and faststuff more than the slower things at the moment. But I love slower beats just as much as faster beats. In fact, thouh it isn't electronic or anything, I'm working on arranging a piece for orchestra that's rather slow. Here's a nice and chill song from a band that I enjoy very much:
pretty good song user, kind of reminds me of imogen heap
