While many of you will simply test your numbers in the weight room I would HIGHLY encourage you to find a powerlifting meet in your area and compete. You don’t have to be a certain strength to compete against yourself or the bar. You don’t have to worry about being laughed at because if you show up and put your balls on the line EVERYONE at the meet will have respect for you.

This is because people who compete know that it is not easy. The people with fake message board names who sit behind keyboards criticizing people who compete are cancerous. The only reason why they internet-kneecap is because they hate themselves so much for being so pathetic and weak. Men compete physically and mentally. They strive to be better in mind and body, and competing is hard.

Looks like form breakdown from maximal effort. Your quads look like they can take a lot of the load, but you're clearly not sinking into the hole and getting power out of the bottom. I'm assuming your working sets don't look the same way.

The bar isnt settled before you start the descent, youre moving around
Your hips are really unstable, most probably weak
Get a proper belt, a taper is only as effective as its narrowest point
You dont open up very well, either tight adductors or weak glutes

I haven't deadlifted for a while, and been on and off squatting due to a knee injury. Deep flexion is painful, but deadlifting is ok. I'm planning on going up by 2.5kg every session, with 2-3 sessions a week. Is this stupid and will I snap or is it +450 wilks territory?

Agreed, I have fully visible abs and I look like such a fat fuck with a belt on, being in the bottom of a squat wouldn't help much either.

You've got to keep your knees back and out better. While trying to keep the entirety of your back as tight as possible. And probably lower the weight a bit for a short period to clean it up and get better at hitting depth.
