Recently switched to 6 day PPL hitting chest more.

well, the answer is:

I was age 27 in the first picture, I'd been training for years and browsing fit all day everyday like it was my job... Then my lifestyle changed, I moved country, got a new job, got married... life got in the way for a while... I started drinking a bit more and working out a bit less...

fortunately for me... at age 32 in the second picture... I'm back browsing fit occasionally, and I'm ready to make lifting and fitness one of my priorities again - hence why I'm here and posting...

but the reality is... Back then I could never imagine a time when my asthetics wouldnt be my priority... but sooner or later.. this will happen to nearly all of us.

no really. I lost a lot of muscle, I went from 210+ with low body fat, to 185 of sloppiness... over about a 5 year period - this isn't too shabby if you think about it... I have genetics on my side.

Thanks, yup I could deadlift 230kg, squat 190kg and bench 140kg, lifts are basically the same now but probably lower lowbar squat since i only front squat now (130kg beltless x 4 atg).

I did gain strength and endurance across the board in basically every other movement though.

PPL but changed around according to the New encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding. Basically chest and back, shoulders and biceps, triceps and legs on separate day. 12 reps for upper body parts, 15 for legs, 4 or 5 sets, 2-3 exercises for every muscle group. I also do a lot of super sets, just for the sake of pump and shorter workout.

I did SS with 2-3 acessories after the first month of learning the movements, then did bulked on it 2 months and cut on it for 7 months since I stopped lifting for 2 months due to surgery and lost some muscle and got fat, had a re-feed week or two during that cutting period.

it is, you should be intermediate at least.

it isn't linear progression anymore, watch the videos of eric helms "pyramid of strength" or something along those lines to learn how and why things are done and you'll learn how to program for yourself and your goals as well, it's the same as the book so you dont need to pay for it.

just takes more time as you lose more, i lost about 10kg in a couple months but it took 5 or so more months to lose another 5
