Has anyone here lived, or is currently living in a dorm room during their college years? If so, what was it like?

Damn that looks more like a prison cell than a living space. I'm glad I got my comfy single room apartment for relatively cheap.
I just can't imagine living in one of these for 4 years, or more depending on whatever you are doing. I'm currently glad that I live near my university, so I don't have to go through this experience of sharing a room, and a bathroom with someone I have the potential of hating within a couple of weeks of being in the dorm.
bullied by drug-dealing roommate and made to leave the room when he wanted to have sex. He stole my GTA san andreas on the last day.
been fun so far. My roommates have made me miss classes bc when I ask them to wake me up they never do, they keep starting shit with me and a bunch of other people, (literally someone had a fistfight in our room) I kicked a trash can all over one's bed and now he's trying to move out, so maybe that will lessen the whole stress of it, but jesus I can already see myself not being able to do this for a whole year.
>My roommates have made me miss classes bc when I ask them to wake me up they never do
get an alarm, dumb retard
I have one lol
me no trust no more!
But you can spruce that up and make it comfy. Nice view though. Pic related is a little bit girly for me, but still looks comfy.
I was an RA for two years and then supervised all the RAs for my last year at a large public university in california. AMA.
I lived in halls in uni for a year. If you enjoy drinking, having fun and talking to other people, you'll probably have a great time.
One year is enough though, it's fun, but you'll deffo want to move out by the end of it.
It was shit and I had to live with dirty fucks.
Also they tried to make me pay 100gbp for damage to a mattress that I didn't do. Make sure you follow out inventory instructions to the T
I'll share some of my insights:
1. First years get super hammered their first quarter and pass out in the halls.
2. Every year there is someone who decides to shit/piss in public
3. Around finals time, we get significantly more students wanting to kill themselves and being sent to the psych ward
4. Nobody cares if you drink or smoke weed, just don't be loud.
90% of your quality of life depends on the people you're living with which you have no control over
If you know some chill, quiet, responsible IRL friends going to the same school and your parents can help you out some, it may make sense to rent an apartment in the vicinity rather than a dorm just to ensure you are not forced to live with shitheads
I have been blessed with roommates - a Chinese dude who was gone for 12 hours of the day and was extremely quiet when home, invited nobody over ever, slept at reasonable times, was clean and made no noise, studied while wearing headphones.
I have also been cursed - some fucking FOB Indian partyboys who had their girlfriends and TONS of people over all the time, would let their gf's crash for days (illegal), made a fucking mess, and blasted bangra music and shitty bollywood movies at 3:00AM on weeknights. Only benefit was they gave me free alcohol and weed and were very friendly so I felt a built guilty complaining. School did nothing
Guys is it real that you're provided with this apartments in Europe or NA? Beacuse in Russia i've had this.
I went to student dorms when I went to uni in 2011. I dropped out in 2012, but I would say that I do miss living on my own.
Yeah, dorms are shit in USA
>4 years
As long as you're not socially retarded you can generally find people to live with off campus after 1-2 years. Dorms are kind of shitty depending on where you go but they're great for meeting people.
Freshman at my college are required to live on campus. It's basically like living in a prison cell. Got the fuck out of there into an apartment asap.
S.U.C.K.S.
IT
FUCKING
SUCKS
Whiter than white boy here
Dorm room, state college, 4 beds, 2 bunk beds
Like being in a prison
I am required to live in the dorm for my 1st year
Me, a Mexican (undocumented, Dreamer Fag, on a full scholarship for minorities) and two Blacks (Niggers) on sports scholarships, I am on student loans
They, (niggers) have portable heaters, "Yo homes it fuck col up in ear"
They stink, fucked up food, dirty assed clothes, underpants on their heads, fucking greasy "Lotion" on everything
One fuck mixes up mayonnaise and avocados to put in his hair
Fucking friends come over and sit/lay on my bed with dirty clothes on and shoes on my fucking blankets
I complain, dorm boss/asshole/monitor asks if I am a "Racist"
Guys have a Black Live Matter banner in the window
I put up a rebel flag, school resources officer takes it down, video, pictures, "Investigation"
I have to go to some "hearing" about my suitability to the school, they will decide if I am warned, suspended or expelled
Been at school 17 days
Mexican guy is quiet, smells bad, likes to microwave whole fish
IT
FUCKING
SUCKS
You must go to some bullshit school. My uni only ever had 2 people max per room and that's only if it was a non private room, which is the lowest one possible.
Is this a dorm room or a swedish prison?
That dorm room looks almost exactly like mine. Same walls, same bed, same chair. My room is a little smaller though. It's great. I don't have to deal with anyone. I can stay sequestered in my own little kingdom away from the normies. It's a robot's paradise.
UK halls are better, you get a room to yourself, you just have to share a kitchen with other people.
I went to a state school too, most dorms are doubles but if you're a poorfag you can request a quad and have four people to a room.
I don't want to share a dorm because I don't want my dormmate to braaap in my breathing space.
