I'd need to know the topography of the area. Defense wars are a waste of resources especially if reinforcements are limited/nonexistent, but if you can funnel opponents into narrow, hazardous areas where we have height advantage then we can set up a main defense there in a conic fashion

Tough one. Provided we have enough forces, we would need to occupy hilltop 35 south east of Rahmadi, and hill 23 to the west. 20 and 18 would be a good place for supply runs from the city to 23.
BMPs have hard time at hilly areas and woodlands, south of 23 east of 17 there is a wood which may be used to force the reds to move on foot. Hilltop 35 will have a clear line of fire towards the commies moving to Rahmadi. I remain unsure about the hilltop south of Rahmadi, it might provide a good fire spot, but in the same time, not sure about the retreat options.

I cross the blue line with all of my forces. Open up on the Mi-17s trying to drop off the infantry with the .50 cals and set up ambushes using AT infantry along the landing zones for the BMP-2 so my forces can blow the fucking things to bits with all their passengers inside as they land on the beach.
