Play on the easiest mode. Take it nice and slow and easy. It's all about learning how the game works slowly. You might fail a couple times but that's ok, just keep playing nice and easy and you'll get good. Trust me DJ Hero used to be the hardest game in the world for me but soon enough easy mode got too easy, and then medium got too easy, and now I only play on expert.
