How do I get a warehouse job? Is it possible to get one just by applying online through Indeed or something? I'm in Canada btw.
How do I get a warehouse job? Is it possible to get one just by applying online through Indeed or something...
Apply to Costco, it's a really good job
Why would you want a warehouse job? You'd probably be better off just working at walmart.
For what position?
I don't like talking to people.
yes, indeed works for warehouse jobs.
Are you capable of lifting 50lb+ pounds for hours at a time?
Cause thats what youre going to be doing
Warehouse jobs are shit, but they are plentiful
>I don't like talking to people.
Oh man you really are not going to like a warehouse job then.
Train to run a forklift. Get more money.
Temp agency may be a good start
Have you ever worked at a warehouse?
Explain?
Yep. I worked in a factory for a week before I left
I was neet for years before I got the job
I could lift the stuff, but being neet i was so out of shape, I was hurting when I got home, it was like you spent 8 hours at the gym doing a workout, repeat every day
People talk while working, and you eat lunch at the same time, at least I did at the place.
Everyone sat at the same table, talked fantasy sports and other shit I dont know anything about
sounds like a good way to get Jow Forums and paid at the same time actually
Well I'm only going to work 4 hours per day max. I'd imagine the weight you carry depends on the warehouse. And I can just ignore the other workers. Can't really do that as a food service/retail person with customers.
It was a cold warehouse, stuff was heavy, couldnt connect with the people
I wasnt there long but the time I was there it was the only point in my life I wanted to kill myself.
You'd probably have a more enjoyable time at a food service or retail job because the age of people is younger
I don't enjoy talking to people old or young.
I don't know where are you living, but here's advice from the worse part of Central Europe. While I am writing this it's 1:47 am here so I have to be quick about that. I am tired, so sorry for mistakes. You can check temporary job office if you have something like that wherever you are living, they often offer this tier jobs.
But please user, don't be me, for the sake of you not wanting to kill yourself. and I am writing this without irony. If you really have to work in shitty tier job warehouse jobs usually are, and for a period longer than several months, then you'll likely become an alcoholic. Maybe because it will get you insomnia, maybe because of boredom. But it will. It's a fate of most warehouse ants no matter if you're shut in like I am, or a normiest normie.
Find a decent trade, learn it for about an hour after each day spent on the warehouse job. Save some money (let's say so you won't have to work for 3 months or better) and don't work there more than 1 year. If you failed, do your best to quit this job ASAP. Good luck user.
Try local labor hire recruitment agencies for some initial work to see if you can do it and to get some experience on your resume. In my experience a lot of employers make use of these agencies because they only want contractors for a short period of time instead of hiring somebody full-time. Once you get experience on your resume start applying for full-time positions and consider getting a forklift license.
temp or employment agency, there should be tons of jobs for unskilled laborers.
also, retail > fast food > warehouse
All work is shit. Nothing special about warehouse work.
I don't ever want to work full time though. That would be a nightmare.
I dunno user, dealing with shithead customers seems a lot worse than moving around boxes or a few hours every day.
haha it's not that simple man, it depends on the warehouse. there are scrawny women who work at the warehouse i'm at, obviously they are not lifting anything.
I'm scrawny as fuck but I'm a male. No way they'd make me lift 50 lbs.
