I wonder how they feel about the content.

>Does the epitome of stupid chad lurk on Jow Forums?
Are you really THAT dumb OP?

They can range anywhere from petty to badass and admirable.

I wish they were more like the Uncle Cop type or the jin roh special force type.
I dislike them when they have God complexes

I respect their work. I once called them because my life was threatened and they handled the situation really well.

You know how people daydream about being the hero who saves the day? I daydream about beating up cops sometimes.

ive never met a cop who wasnt an egotistic power tripping douchebag

Most officers, likely 95% are lazy fucks that are police officers because they made C grades in school and could pass a physical exam. They waste your tax dollars on speed traps and flashing their lights to run red lights. I have never once seen an officer actually help someone in person. All I ever see is them fucking around on their laptops as they speed down roads and do nothing but make a paycheck on their ass.

There's nothing wrong with being an egotistic power tripping douchebag, it's the pettiness of it. Stalin for instance was an egotistic power tripping douchebag. However, I respect Stalin because he actually accomplished something. What I can't stand are cops and military types who have accomplished nothing but sign on a doted line and think that somehow makes them a big man.

>I once called them because my life was threatened
lol fag

Every cop I've known got into it because they're petty and need to exert control over people to feel like a man. Combine that with how lax the requirements to become one are and you have a force of washed up high school bullies without any consequences for their actions.
Also Stalin killed millions but ok lol

I know tons of pretty nice cops. One of my friends fake pulled me over though and I almost had a heart attck. Was very scary and she's kind of a mean person

that and it's a stable government job that pays well, can make a killing if you're willing to do overtime (in developed countries for the most part).

>Does any law enforcement ever lurk here?
This isn't my homeboard but I lurk sometimes. I'm a police officer in the Philippines. (lol i know)

I've posted a bunch of replies in one thread not too long ago.

I respect cops but I had a few bad experiences with them. I think they're easier really nice or huge cunts.

How long have you been a cop? What made you wanna join the force? Have you ever shot anybody or been in a gunfight?

ACAB
oregano

>How long have you been a cop?
Over 8 years or so.
>What made you wanna join the force?
Honestly forgot. Was a culinary arts student who sold weed and kinda just happened onto this career through a friend
>Have you ever shot anybody or been in a gunfight?
Yes, unfortunately.

>wanted to cook
>probably sold weed to fund his passion
>probably arrests people for doing the same shit

I hope the cartel gets you, class traitor.

Double dubs.
Oh shit nigga

>be stoner
>all the girls I -really- like have cops for dads
:(

Christ, you sound like a triggered tumblrina.

I didn't sell enough weed to put me through college. It was just some extra cash. And for small amounts of marijuana (I consider it harmless) I'm pretty lenient with the arrest unless they are smuggling it from the south islands or internationally, which is rare because those busts take months (even years) to investigate and finalize.

Most common arrests are for methamphetamine, sir.

What's the biggest drug bust you ever done? Do you just find drugs or do you solve murders too?

nah ive just been fucked over by cops too many times

Early last year was arguably the largest I've ever assisted in. Not one single person works an investigation, it's a team effort and we also have an anti-narcotics task force that specifically just conducts raids, with us providing backup. I am just an investigator, to put it simply.

but it was over 600 kilos of methamphetamine, worth over 6 billion pesos. 27 arrests were made that day, and 7 of the arrests were unauthorized immigrants from China were were members of "triad" gangs.

>Do you just find drugs or do you solve murders too?
Forgot to answer this question, but no, I don't solve murders. We do work closely with the homicide unit of the national police force however, since drugs and murder often go hand and hand.

>want to become a leo

I dont trust most of them nor do I think most should even be in that line of work to begin with. That being said you do have the occasional light who isnt either a complete dumbass or a Patrick Bateman wannabe.
You get any drug dealer bounties?

I was actually accepted to a police academy, then I tore my ACL playing footy. Blessing in disguise though, I switched to IT after that and make stupid money browsing Reddit.

I have nothing but respect for cops but will immediately call bullshit when they try to flex laws that weren't meant to bend (all of them).

>You get any drug dealer bounties?
No. I think the placing of bounties on known drug lords is wrong, as it skips the arrest and trial process. And most of the people who "claim" the bounties aren't even part of the drug investigation units (they're uniformed cops or just former military) so they could be killing another suspect altogether, or even an innocent person.

>7 of the arrests were unauthorized immigrants from China were were members of "triad" gangs.
You ever catch any other foreign organized crime members? Like russian mafia guys?

I said that as a sort of half joke but it is pretty crazy to see Duterte actually do shit like that. Are drugs really that much of a problem in the Philippines?

>You ever catch any other foreign organized crime members? Like russian mafia guys?
Never caught any russian mafia, but in 2014 we did catch two Japanese criminals attempting to smuggle methamphetamine out of the country, and they were linked to the yamaguchi yakuza in Japan.

Most of the foreign criminals we catch are Chinese gang members (triads) though it's not often we get them, as they are highly resourceful.
>Are drugs really that much of a problem in the Philippines?
Yes, they are, however the process the current political administration is undertaking against it is entirely wrong in my opinion.

I feel you, I daydream the same thing sometimes

You don't agree with the current politics in your country, yet you work for the police force. Does that present a problem? Are you open about your views or do you keep silent for fear of losing your job or worse?

In theory I don't like them because half of their job is finding petty things to fine citizens for to get money for the state, but in practice at least the cops in my area seem pretty nice and I've never felt like they were hostile or manipulative to me when I get pulled over or whatever like I hear other people say they are.

Our president is not a dictator. I'm allowed to voice my opinion, as is everyone else. And I don't speak in a disrespectful or slander his name, I just highly disagree with his policy on the drug crime in the country.

Many of the people I work with in my organization and department also share similar views, due to the fact that it is detrimental to what we've been doing, which is investigating and taking apart drug syndicates.

An example is, we have "barangay list" for each seperate barangay listing all the known drug suspects or drug houses within the area. These are only "suspected" lists and we check someone off the list if we have a confirmed search warrant. Once the current president took power, the uniformed patrol cops demanded our barangay lists and more than half the people on our lists were killed the following days and months.

These include several informants we were using and suspects who could have led us to get more prolific drug lords. Many of the informants killed were people I worked hard with to get off drugs and change their lives. Search warrants are almost a joke now, though since last year things are slowly returning to normal.

I assume you have a decent rank in the Phillipine's Police Force judging by what you say.

You mentioned you were a culinary arts student, so did you graduate? I assume not since you're a cop now. What's your favorite dish to cook? What kind of cuisine do you specialize in?

pls come bk wen ur 18 kk

They like to set me up.

I'm not in any administrative positions, though I outrank uniformed patrol unless they are a sergeant. The official term is "Investigation Officer" which is basically just a detective.
Yes, I did graduate with a culinary arts degree. You have to have a bachelor's degree in order to join PDEA. I consider myself pretty good at cooking korean dishes, as there is a significant Korean population here in the Philippines and there is a lot of markets which sell traditional korean ingredients. I like to combine regional dishes with east-asian dishes such as Kimchi adobo or Sisig made with beoseos namul mushrooms.

I'd love to learn more about western cuisine as well, specifically French and Mexican dishes, however tortillas and several Latin American peppers are hard to come by here, and usually pretty expensive.

Did you ever work professionally as a chef? I find it hard to imagine just someone who studied to be a chef ended up as a Dope cop instead.

>tfw female cop calls you sweetie

Attached: 1526905188047.jpg (213x255, 8K)

>Did you ever work professionally as a chef?
Yes. I even worked at the kitchen of the Hilton Hotel in Manila as one of the head cooks, though I was fired for selling marijuana to the other employees and sometimes the tenants.
>I find it hard to imagine just someone who studied to be a chef ended up as a Dope cop instead.
I still cook as a hobby, I love doing it. I used to have a cooking channel on youtube some years back.

How was selling weed? How much weight did you move? I know you're a pig now, but describe your drug dealing career.

>almost always too dumb to do white collar work
>almost always have huge egos
>hide and pull people over for driving 7 over the speed limit
>arrest people for selling (or just possessing) drugs
>paid out of public taxes
Obviously you need police for when serious crimes are committed, but it's just another job. Cops/military always seem incredibly proud to be propped up by the public to walk around with guns

>>arrest people for selling (or just possessing) drugs
Problem, druggie?

It's not as exciting as your probably thinking, though I did sell all throughout my 3 years of college. It just introduced me to a lot of people. I mostly sold to college kids in and around Taft avenue in Manila.

I'd push maybe 2 or 3 ounces in a week. Usually would sell a small bag (called a teabag, cause it looks like a teabag) which has 1/2 a gram for 50 pesos, and a half ounce for 800 pesos for those who wanted a lot.

The money I made was spent on designer basketball shoes lol, most of which I've never even worn. This was around mid to late 2000s.

Does being a former drug dealer aid in your work as a police officer?

I don't even use drugs but it's a victimless crime and it's retarded to criminalize it

I hate them so fucking much. Police aren't needed.

I realize how necessary they are and my dad is one

Fuck em

I feel like it would be a colossal waste of time to monitor any board on this website, due merely to the fact that trolling is a thing and always will be when your identity is anonymized.

Where I live, most policemen are corrupt and dumb as shit. Mix a stereotypical fat, dumb, racist, donut eating american cop and eastern european alcohol fueled autism and you get most cops around here.

Fuck most police but I have one police officer friend that I knew in high school. When he catches me doing shit, he lets me go. He told me that if he ever has to take me in, he'll leave the back doors unlocked and drive really slowly.

Not really. I still know a lot of the people I used to sell to, though.

Lol that's pretty cool. Although if he ever locks you up, be sure he's gonna renege on his word.

Do any of your fellow cops know you used to sell drugs?

Dunno, every police officer I've ever had an encounter with lied straight to my face. Don't tell them shit, even if they tell you they have footage of you committing a crime or anything. no matter what. If they keep on pressuring you with questions, deny deny deny you never know. they probably don't have shit on you and if they do, it's better to maintain your innocence until your case is taken to court. Don't let your honest nature get the best of you, you will get FUCKED. Every time and don't cave in. They will lie to you, they will ask you the same question over and over again in different ways, so on and so forth. Remember. In a court of law it's always their word against yours, so They don't have to fucking read your Miranda Rights if they don't want to. Anything you say will be used against you no matter fucking what.
Aside from that I'm sure some police officers are comfy people with interesting personal lives. Like one time I spoke to a cop after being questioned, just casual small talk about video games, hobbies, PC building, shit like that. He was a nerd, kinda like me, we talked about comics and shit. I know they're people too, but for fucks sake they don't mind it and they will slap the cuffs on you and bring you to the big house in a heartbeat using any trick out of the book that could 1. Get you to incriminate yourself, thus providing them with evidence to use against you in a court of law via police statement and 2 to get you to confess to a crime, even if you didn't actually commit that crime
The end game of every police officers when questioning someone is to eventually obtain jurisdiction to deal out punishment through incarceration. Only on a day that they're in a good mood will they, for example, tell drunk bastard Joe to go home to his trailer and stop harrassing the fucking neighbors.

ex military here. military guys generally become police officers when they get out.

generally boils down to whether the people join for the call of country and state over self or just on a power trip. the latter is terrible to deal with

overall, if you have the former then just admit the crime you did, apoligize and call them sir. they will let you off. if you have the latter then dont say a thing

I can totally read minds

I'm a cop in a US city of over a million people. I've posted about it a couple times. If you have questions about how to become a cop or what the jobs like feel free to ask.
