What it actually be like to date an autistic gril?

I'm dating a borderline autistic girl, some of the things she does are clearly an autistic trait but it's usually cute. I can't imagine regular girls being any better than her.

I have a story about dating an autistic girl. The relationship failed but I'd type it out if anyone cares

Nice. How long have you been dating. I met my autistic ex-gf an uni.

probably terrible.
>she still believes in santa!
it'd be like dating a literal child. who in their right mind wou-

oh.

Nah man. My ex was on the spectrum but functional and not a little child. She was highly intelligent and will probably be a surgeon. She just had problems with communication and normal empathy

Cool, type it out.

Can someone tell me where to find an autistic/aspie girl, I have met 11 people with Asperger at HS but all guys, no girl, where are they?

its the same thing as dating an average woman

I just had to end things with a SEVERELY autistic girl. She was likely schizophrenic to, and a couple times I had to physically restrain her from jumping off a cliff. It's not cute like in your animes, it's dealing with insane tantrums, sobbing, and screaming. I feel terrible for her, I hope she finds her way in life. But deep down I know that she doesn't need a boyfriend, she needs professional help. It still kills me though, I feel awful for not seeing it earlier and 'leading her on'. I hope God can forgive me for breaking her heart, because I will never forgive myself. *Sigh*, time to open the whiskey bottle again.

I hope the future holds better things for the both of you, user. Take care of yourself, that shit is rough on you too.

My girlfriend is at the low end of the spectrum, but she's pretty enough that it comes across as 'quirky' and 'endearing' to most (go Halo Effect). Thankfully she's aware that she can get loud and chatty and doesn't get upset when I signal her to reign it in.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. My biggest flaw is my inability to see serious problems in people until it's too late/I'm in too deep.

I had a gf with aspergers. Her autism symptoms were kind of a pain in the ass sometimes desu.

Like she would get really upset about small changes to things that wouldn't be a big deal to a neurotypical person. Somebody getting her coffee or dinner order wrong could ruin the next few hours and she would insist on getting it remade correctly even if something really minor was wrong. Same thing if I was cooking and didn't cook food the same way that she would. She would just get really frustrated by shit like how finely things were diced, and then not want to talk to me. She was very particular about being touched too and would not even want to hug me much of the time. She would sometimes say innappropriate shit around people we didn't know that well. Not like rude stuff, but like revealing too much/too much honesty kind of stuff.

But there were also positive advantages. She was way more organized than me and would know what was going on in my schedule even better than I would. And she was easier to talk to for me than a "normal" girl in some ways. She was always doing some kind of hobby or project, more often than not around organizing and sorting things or gathering information.

>wouldn't even want to hug me
that sounds miserable

I met a pretty autistic girl at a wedding. Cute but was super autistic, her speech and everything was off. I told her I didn't drink much so she went off and fetched me back a non alcoholic drink and said we had it in common. Brother found me later and told me that there was this girl that was staring at me and I should try to get with her. I didn't try anything because of how severely autistic she was. She spent the rest of her time drawing because she 'Didn't like gatherings and wanted to draw'. Was told later she was talking about me loads. I reckon you would just get accused of taking advantage if a vulnerable person.

How probable are we talking here, was she already in med school?

Only some of the time though

> Hallee's 19th birthday.
> To Hallee Santa is very real.

Belief in Santa at age 19 is not the result of autism. It's the result of mental retardation.

Sometimes autism is mixed with retardation, and sometimes it's not -- they're two independent conditions.

Let's not mistake one for the other, mmkay?

I can guarantee that most parents would want their kid to be in somebody else's hands and would be more than happy to see her with somebody she enjoys and living a relatively normal life

Not a relationship but I was on a train ride once and the girl who sat next to me said she had low function autism. She was around my age, a nice woman but she did have some strange quirks. She'd always answer the questions of the train staff even if they weren't directly asking her. She told me she couldn't really spell properly so she had to use a voice recording function on her phone when she wanted to search things on the internet or other people's phone numbers. Told me a story about how her family keeps trying to set her up with a partner despite the fact she wasn't interested in relationships at all. She told me she didn't like her family too much either. She resented the fact that they'd always treat her like a little child and the thing she wanted the most was to live a independant life in her own home. It was a pretty interesting conversation.

>Can someone tell me where to find an autistic/aspie girl

I sense a business opportunity here: an online dating site specifically for autismal/aspergerian people and those who have a fetish for dating them.

Awww, that really sucks. I hope she's doing alright.

I'm sure they would but you'd have to really be into them as you would be like their carer. She was autistic to the point where her responses and questions were like she were following a flowchart on how to interact.

>I reckon you would just get accused of taking advantage if a vulnerable person.

Yeah, I've always wondered about that.

When I meet a girl who's weird, that's the only time I can be hopeful about being able to start a relationship -- because I know that I'm at the very bottom of the desirability ladder, so my choices are limited strictly to girls who are also at the bottom of the desirability ladder.

But the problem with girls who are at the bottom of the desirability ladder is that they might actually have something truly wrong with them -- like being retarded or autistic or something -- so that could raise the question about whether I'm taking advantage of her disability.

>*Sigh*
Cringey as FUCK, boy.

Last time I did an online dating it didn't end well due to distance separating us.

Where did you find aspie girls?

Sounds perfect desu. I hate touchy stuff.

You'll never be lonely at autismonlydotcom.

>Last time I did an online dating it didn't end well due to distance separating us.

Don't let that discourage you. I found exactly the right woman for me online, and we were 1000 miles apart. We got married about 15 months after we started e-mailing each other. We're still together years later.

Did she comes to you or did you come to her?
