My gtx670 just died after 6 years :(
I was rlly only playing a racing sim for like 30 mins a day... i guess its a good time to fully quit

op, why the FUCK would you accept windows 10 into your life, especially when you have a rather lackluster pc in terms of processing power?

windows 10 is honestly the biggest failure and embarrassment of an operating system in existence. its a botnet which significantly slows down your pc. its free because they install like 20 gigabites of botnet bullshit to listen to every single input you can make, from you getting up at night to take a piss to your eye movements from your camera

windows 10 FORCES you to shut down randomly, its honestly the biggest piece of shit in existence. for me its windows 7 until i die or until artificial intelligence takes over the world and puts me out of my misery

the problem is they let a whole bunch of street-shitting curry niggers into microsoft, and the quality of the software tanked correspondingly. and since these curry shits dont have morals they were quick to sell out the soul of the company and make their revenue off selling the users information, they have no shame in it, its public knowledge

op try reformatting your harddrive and installing a fresh windows 7 OS, you can pirate a cd key i think and find some fix so it wont bug you about cd key bullshit

I feel like if I got some more RAM I might see some of my issues go away or at least reduced. A graphics card might be nice too desu but I don't really do much graphics shit outside 2D gaming and watching telly.

Windows 10 runs fine even on an old Pentium Quad Core. If you have any PC since the first gen i3/i5/i7 then you're fine for any OS. The limiting factor in 99% of PCs is slow OS drives. If you have an SSD than Windows 10 is snappy on anything decent in the last 10 years.

windows 7 you can still play the latest games, like cs:go and dark souls and hearthstone and starcraft and whatever else shit i play. and windows 7 runs A LOT smoother than windows 10, which is choppy and laggy and slow as shit. windows 10 was written by pajeets who ruined the code quality and installed botnets which over-encumbers most PC's, especially the older and slower ones

lel? "old" quad cores is a relative term. "old" quad core cpu's are still very powerful compared to today's newer cpu's

the cpu processing power increase in the last 3~ years has been very stagnant. if you look at cpu benchmarks of intel processors when 14nm came out, they're basically identical to today's newer intel processors, according to cpu benchmarks. intel has been very lazy with getting 10nm and 7nm processors out, which is why AMD is getting a larger and larger market share

windows 10 is A LOT choppier and harder to run compared to windows 7, and its free of forced ads and has a lot less botnet shit and bloatware

the limiting factor is OS speed is 100% cpu speed. if ur cpu is slow its a shitshow. most people have enough space to run their operating system, but tons of people still complain on how slow the OS is, considering on a fresh install theres LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE ON THE HARDDRIVE

No, the limiting factor in most PCs in OS drive speed. CPU speed only ever becomes a limiting factor if you're using some weird fucking Atom processor, or weird AMD shit that's meant to run at like 1 watt and has like 2 piss slow cores. If you have any mainline i3-i7, ANY of them, then Windows 10 will fine.

I've put SSDs in old laptops with dual core celerons from like 2008 and it ran like a modern laptop afterwards for basic tasks like browsing and that other basic shit. Does that mean another OS wouldn't run better? No. But its retarded to act like your CPU will be pinned just web browsing on any competent CPU in the last decade.

Pretty shitty. My desktop is even worse, I'm still rocking a Core 2 Duo E7400 in it coupled with 2GB RAM DDR2, for the ultimate PC experience.

I'm proud of my win 7 build, but I want to make a win10 AMD next. Is this a bad combo?

Its okay. I have an Acer Nitro 5 laptop. I got it for $600 and the specs are pretty good for the price. It has a 7300HQ and a 1050 ti which runs all my games just fine and its pretty thin and light for a gaming laptop. Plus a matte IPS screen which looks pretty dang good. I can't complain, especially for what I paid. Runs really snappy.
