The whole harem aspect was none of the girls liked him romantically. They just liked him as a friend aside from the one who won and even then it took convincing for her to go out with him
But the situation is easily realistic all it was is become friends with girl, hook up with said friends friend The way they met and continue to meet after the fact isn't the most likely, but given her insecurities and general fear of men I'm convinced it did happen.
It's definitely a dramatization of the whole scenario since we are only getting 1 side of the story but the story as a whole seems like it did happen. I just hope they are still together

Dragon Ball (Z) Kai, Re: Zero, and Seven Deadly Sins. And I think that's all the anime that I am caught up on that I would say is really good.
