I'm beginning to doubt the high intelligence of this board...

I'm beginning to doubt the high intelligence of this board. The majority of people in the real world don't even take IQ tests. So intelligence is generally measured by merit and success. That would mean SAT, ACT scores, as well as high GPA's and degrees acquired. Since a big chunk of this board is autistic neets, I'd like to believe you're all dumber than you're lead on. In fact the vast majority of you are imbeciles that take pleasure in highlighting your one merit of an IQ over 120.

I'd like any one of you to disprove my point.

just now?

Actually it's been shown that standardized test scores don't really correlate with intelligence or how successful an individual will be in college/a graduate degree program. GPA is a different story because you actually have to prove you know material you're taught but it can be easily inflated or deflated based on difficulty of courses

In high school I had a 4.5 GPA and a 2380 SAT
I wouldn't consider myself smart though, I do some pretty stupid stuff

I was giving you "lazy but smart" autists the benefit of the doubt. Now I've seen the error of my ways.

I took a real IQ test and got 90.

Seems like your school inflated the fuck out of GPAs, since all universities and most schools are on a 4.0 scales.

Just because normalfaggots use success as a measure of intelligence doesn't mean said measure is accurate. Success is mostly a matter of luck and dedication.

No they added half a point for AP classes I think, and an A+ was a 4.3
I have no idea what my unweighted GPA was

I had a 1260 new SAT score and a 3.25 GPA in HS.

Who told you that the majority of this board is high IQ? I got a scores on my exams since I am asian.

Yeah in college an A is a 4.0 and A+ don't exist, it's just an A. Or if there are A+ they're still counted as 4.0

The majority of Jow Forums is right wing

Conservatives are less intelligent than Liberals on average (which is obvious because being right wing if you make less than 200k per year is retarded)

Its that good? My parents want me to get at least 1400. I got 1310 in the last one and freaking out because Im retaking it.
The main thing is that ( at least based on college board practices) I cant really get anything close to 1400.

130

i see strings that other people cant see honestly, ive stopped mentioning things to people irl because people will only ever hate you for trying to help them

Any time there is an IQ thread, a bunch of anons report having an IQ of 115+. I've never taken an IQ test, so I figured that they were naturally gifted geniuses. I mean most anons reported having IQ's of 115-155,
making me feel like a brainlet in a sea of "lazy but gifted" anons.

There are plenty of "lazy and smart" autists that used to come by here. Most of the KHV ones went to wiz or wherever.

I'm not exactly lazy but I'm not a great worker. 35 on the ACT, 4.9 GPA senior year. Going to college now, still KHV.

Depends. What are the kind of schools you're applying to?

average people dont have their iq orofessionally tested, so most people that know a number will be high

I feel like some of them are still here. but I have noticed there was a drop in thread quality for a while now.

I've always been a little skeptical about people who call themselves smart. Don't get me wrong, you might be right on the money that you are. However, surely a generally smart person realizes the danger of confirmation bias and as has a bit of skepticism on their own assessment for intelligence.

So what you're saying is, out of the people that take the test, the general mean is higher?

there are also a lot of intellectually disabled people who take it to assess their skills, but they're probably not posting on Jow Forums

I only consider people "smart" if they avoid harmfl habits, behaviors, all on their own, most people have unlimited freedom and are succesful and know they can do anything without negative consequences if everyone already loves them and has to forgive them,
I think I rambled but

I also consider people smart if they dislike morbidity and don't enjoy it and actually try to help people on their own and know what they're doing, my reasoning for this is that everyone has to interact with each other so not Hating People who are Less Fortunate is actually smart

>I'm beginning to doubt the high intelligence of this board
>beginning
the fact that it took this long for you to realize we're retarded is proof enough

I had a 4.0 and a 1530/1600 on the SAT

>any one of you
BTFO

BS in Economics
173 LSAT
T14 JD

come at me brainlets

lol that is not true. LSAT is number 1 predictor of law school success.

SAT is the easiest standardized test. Tons of people max it out.

would you say your BS was good preparation?
I ask as a BS econ student who's considering law school

The ACT reading is a joke.
The SAT tests for logical extrapolations. The ACT tests for quick, straightforward capabilities.

Success is mostly a matter of intelligence. Wealth correlates strongly with IQ and nearly every selfmade billionare is extremely high on the IQ scale anyway.

Comparatively to BA? Probably not. Econ is helpful in law school because the theory is logic based. I don't think Econometrics/Calculus really moved the needle.

Economics majors tend to get higher grades on average in law school though.

Both are easy tests that are routinely maxed out. Tons of people score perfect on the SAT/ACT. Compare that to the less than .01% that do on the LSAT/MCAT.

>Tons of people score perfect on the SAT/ACT.
I think a couple thousand get 36s on the ACT.
SAT is much harder to max out; when it was out of 2400 about 500 people a year would get that.

>500 perfect SAT
>less than 10 perfect MCAT
lol if you think the SAT is hard you peaked in high school

2160 SAT
34 ACT
not a virgin

how do yall even remember your high school gpa?

The questions themselves aren't hard; the hard part is not making a single dumb mistake on 150+ problems that are designed to trip you up.
Also, a couple million people take the SAT every year, while only 240k take the MCAT.

This board is full of pathological liars the same people will also claim to be at least 6/10 and have a big dick.

Being intelligent isnt hard, you just have to work. 3.0 GPA to 3.5 from high school to college just by putting in the work required.
That is why this board is dumb, they never put in the effort

I have a PhD in Neuroscience form an Ivy League medical school.

To be fair a bunch of retards take the SAT. The people who sit for the MCAT are college upperclassmen/grads.

really, because Medical schools give out MDs/DO you LARPing faggot

1390 SAT, and a whole years worth of college credits from AP.
Squandered it all, am now failing as a part time student at a community college. I should be a junior, but I might not make it through the first semester of my sophomore year.
No prospects, no friends, distant family, no nest egg, no investments, savings, or job.
I don't even know if I could work. I had a job last summer and that was part of what put me in the muted state I was in during college.
I just sat at my desk. I did my job, I never browsed non-work related websites (autistically, trust me on this, I was determined to impress my boss because I had gotten the job as a favor from a former friend, and didn't want to embarrass them even though we didn't talk anymore), but I didn't talk to ANYONE.
Just the desk, the laptop, the crippling silence.
Three months of summer.
Then the school year. I can't say what happened, I grew a lot, but I still couldn't talk to anyone. I had some great times, but I did so in solidarity.
By November I checked out. Failed all but one class. Stayed on for another semester only because I couldn't bear to live with my parents again.
Now I have no hope for the future.
What do I do.

wealth does not necessarily equal intelligence
and neither is the reverse.

I theorize alot of smart high iq people kill themselves after realizing that even if you aquire currency, women/men, material possessions, you will lose it all to Dr. Death.

since this board is always suicidal, I make a point that maybe OP is wrong

Pretty much every good major medical school has a separate division for PhD's

>tfw misunderstood genius
I'm really smart but just lazy. I take a lot of online IQ tests and score really well, sure I dropped out of uni for playing too much league and failing all my classes, but I'm the smartest Pizza hut delivery driver in my area. Yeah I'm 23 and have done nothing with my life, but I'm actually really intelligent bro. I'm always on the chans with my equally nihilist misanthropes, if I applied myself I'd be super successful. BTW success has nothing to do with intelligence, I have a 140 IQ but it's just luck of the draw. My teachers always told me I was really smart but what can you do. Anyways let's all post our myers-briggs types

proof for above
I'd say I'm above average intelligence at least.
I've been the "smart" kid for as long as I can remember. People would say that I made them feel dumb

was I doomed from the start?

Materialism is the culture of death user. Religious folks don't have this problem.
Is this a copypasta? Good work user, saved.

bravo. you are unironically a genius, at least in the comedic sense.

alright, I'll bite
>ACT: 34 overall (36 Reading, 35 English, 31 Math, 33 Science)
>GPA: HS was 4.4 (4.6 normally, as my HS had A- as a 3.7/4.7 if honors [5th best in school]), college 3.7
>College: top 20 with merit scholarship

Any more evidence you want?

AM I ORIGINAL NOW?

Yea. My year had a bad curve, so If I had gotten one more right I would have had a 33. Still, mental math is my worst skill, and writing is obviously my best

>honestly thinking anyone on Jow Forums, let alone Jow Forums of all boards, is inherently intelligent because they browse this website
>buying into IQ in the first place as a measure of intelligence
>but then going on to believing that test and education scores are an actual accurate measure

you must be 15 years old

Thanks user, I was just typing exactly the same and you saved me the time. Also nice trips

Attached: beer.jpg (248x203, 8K)

you said BTFO like a 1530 is some crazy achievement. Most people who take the SAT don't even study.

1540/1600 user, not the 2400 standard they use nowadays.

This triggers the "smart but lazy" NPCs.

I'm aware user

I was just trying to figures it out. Honest.
