- become chaste
- eat clean, completely deprogram a hunger for sugars and salts
- lift + HIIT cardio every day, mix with outdoor training
- read metaphysics and pomo. know thy enemy.
- cold showers and stove tests. stove tests mean putting your palm on a hot stove for as long as you can take it. gives you a taste of your Limit every day.
- minimize screens. cut off most people from your life.
- meditate
- smoke weed to experience alterity without the commitments of harder drugs, hone it to a creative tool
- consume media/films beyond a subjective but ultimately intrinsic caliber. what evokes its Outside vs. what doesn't. Language is stifling, hermetic, watch films that open a window.

I'm assuming a church is a good place to start. Unfortunately everyone around me who is religious is 40+, but I can't speak for your situation. The spiritual path must ultimately be walked alone though, so if you can't find a friend or lover to be a guide, become one yourself.

I go to Churches but the qts there aren’t usually spiritual. They follow the scriptures and whatnot but can’t tell the difference in quality between say an Orthodox Christian service and a typical boomer services where they play Christian rock and come up with cute stories that they try to attach a moral to at the end. Move into the countryside, somewhere where you can be around brown people (for me it was the Maori). White people are spiritually atrophied in modern times. Study the word. Worship, contemplate, live close to the land as possible. And talk to those brown people. They'll tell you all their spiritual experiences, which you ought to believe. I heard a thousand tales (all true) of healings, devils, angels, spooks, and the hand of God. That's what boosted my spiritual IQ. I'll answer any questions.

That's just it, you can't learn it from books, believe me. It's 100% experiential knowledge. Your best bet would be to skim the New Testament and visit a charismatic or Pentacostal denomination. You'll run into some kind of spiritual manifestation, probably, but not with the kind of intimacy or authenticity you'd find "in the wild."
