The filters exist for a reason. I've been saying since it was implemented that the way to have a "Jow Forums within Jow Forums is to filter out the homosexuals and trannies. Let them jerk off in their corner. You wouldn't even see their threads. If everyone who actually LIKES Jow Forums without the cancer did this, it'd be the start of a new, hidden community.

That doesn't work. You are still affected by bumps so your threads will get slid, and it stops any kind of positive growth of the board because anyone who sees the state of it without filters runs away. Anything that doesn't grow stagnates, there is no inbetween. The only thing this would do is slightly slow the eventual death of the board, it doesn't solve the problem.

There is also the fact that people simply dont do it. For whatever reason it may be, people just dont use filters. It doesnt work in reality.
