Go there. Leave if you don't like it.
They're all different. There's cancer in all of them but the amount differs. Some are actually pretty great.
You will probably not find a gf there. You might find some nice people though if you are willing to chat and ask for a way of staying in touch if you got along well.

There are full blown autist weeb girls that go to these
Had a bizarre experience talking to 3 girls together in sailor moon cosplay that then put on some kind of performance where two of them pretended to be husband/wife and the third was the daughter

Anime conventions are super fun! If you are cosplaying. Cosplaying is the thing thats most likely going to make you friends but being a normal person around conventions is a bit harder. You should check what panels, guests and meet ups are happening to see if its really worth it. And i even heard some conventions like katsucon have orgys and stuff, so check craigslist or facebook. And to answer the weeb question, theres both. Theres 15 year olds and below acting like fangirls and spouting dead memes in cosplay, or above doing the same thing or becing chill. Its a gamble depending on where you are. my experiences with conventions are good, i went to supanova as 2b, got alot of pictures and people liked me. But there were creeps who did the hoverarm and smelled of bo. Dont be neckbeard fag. Feel free to ask more questions. Good luck on your quest, op.

I'm REALLY introverted when I'm sober and have a bottle of vodka home.. Is it smart to go there drunk?
Sounds nice I never met girls like this in my entire life. All the girls I know are literal NPC's

Only question so far is if I can go there drunk, I'm really introverted.

>Is it smart to go there drunk?
No. If you smell like booze you definitely will be labelled a creepy weirdo.
Just be open about being an introvert because you are pretty much a cliche weeb. People will understand.

I dont think thats a good idea, you want your wits about you especially if its your first time
Also if you ask a cosplayer to take a photo its gonna creep them the fuck out if they can smell booze on you

Depends if you can be a decent human being while youre drunk. But if your convention already has a bar inside with game of thrones cosplayers, go right ahead.

Go, it the perfect place to get weeb pussy.

Honestly the only time I enjoyed an anime con was when I was high, so I'd recommend getting drunk but making sure you don't stink of vodka.

Most girls there are actually braindead. Unless you're looking for a dumb gf that will listen to anything you say if you get her in the web it's not a place with gf material. If you're lucky you might meet someone cool tho.

Is it easy to find a bf if you're a girl(male) at an anime con?

But how will I socialize? Will I get approached? I really do not know how finding friends there works. I imagine if I'd go there sober I'd just walk around for one hour, look at everything and then go home because I'm bored

I unironically think 50% of the men who watch anime are into traps. I'm sure you'll find your luck there.

You are unlikely to be approached except if there's anything visibly interesting about you.
What con are we talking about?

Hi im the 2b cosplay from before, no its not easy because most of them are either taken by trannys or they are too scary to talk too. The other option is trying to talk to them via social media and saying
>lets meet up! I really wanna take a picture with you
But if you dont wanna make a cosplay bf and get a normal one, be in cosplay and see if the guy wanting to take a pic with you wants to hang out.

Cosplayers go there with the intent that people will come up and talk to them, compliment them on their cosplay and take pictures with them, they'll be happy to chat with you

NiCon in Germany, Hannover. Yeah there's nothing really visibly interesting about me. I just found out about the con today and it's starting tomorrow. I'd really like to cosplay at some time though

My brother went to one and came home with a Hanzo body pillow. You be the judge of that one.

They have workshops. Visit those and force yourself to talk with people.
Or play some board games and talk.

>Cosplaying 2b on a place full of greasy neckbeards
Yikes.. How often did you get approached by weird guys?

Like another user said, depends on who you are when drunk. Basically the answer is yes as long as you're not a total cocktard asshole

I've been to a couple
>Kind of expensive for what it is
>Surrounded by groups of highschool friends that makes me want to kill myself by remembering that I missed out on an enjoyable youth
>All of the girls walking around brought their bfs (who have little to no interest in anime)
>The merchandise for sale is laughably marked up
>The panels are almost always boring and poorly managed
>There are people hooking up but they aren't going to with you, there are enough Chads floating around to scoop up the slutty cosplayers

I still go just because it feels kind of nice to be around people who have a similar interest with me, even if I don't get to directly interact with them. I actually had a good time once by drinking before going inside but you're getting drunk to go to an anime convention, primarily to stave off anxiety... So yeah that's rock bottom. Probably a lot more fun if you have friends.

I only got approached 3 times for pictures i think? The other times i stared at because they tried to look down the boob window since i had no boobs. Oh yeah i was basically a loli 2b. And surprisingly my convention wasnt really filled with neckbeards but alot of extroverted and nice people. But of course neckbeards was a small part of the package. Weirdest experience i have had was the guy doing the infamous hoverarm around me, i felt, honestly i still dont know how i feel about it.

If you hate unattractive men so much why don't you just post your cosplay pics on the internet and not go into public to attention whore.

I'm really happy, social and childish wheb I'm drunk and the complete opposite when sober. One thing I remember from being drunk last time was doing the naruto run while laughing my ass off and screaming like a retard. I knows it's autistic, but isn't that how the weebs on animecons behave normally? Like really childish and overly happy?
Man you're killing my motivation to go there. Going there and seeing how the place is full of normies would be a nightmare

I've gone to those events twice. Basically i walked around all alone buying shit and seeing fun stuff. Aside from that it's a whole lot of normies, cyborgs and the obvious occasional robot. Many females, some are stacies other are autismos, all probably get laid. It all depends on how much you care about how you appear to others and how self conscious you are.

>Loli 2b
STOP STOP STOP

That's pushing it into dumbshit territory. Just go buzzed and sneak in booze. They may even just sell alcohol somewhere inside. Who knows though, maybe full retard is what you need to make friends. Just remember: whatever you think is the solid, funny, over the top but awesome thing to do, take it back one to two steps, and do that instead.

They werent unattractive, more of acting very creepy. Dont twist my words. Neckbeards are fine but my definition of it is more of the personality and less of the looks.

What the fuck do you even do there.. Like is it just a big place for weebs to meet or do they have something else? I imagine some rooms where people can watch anime together would be nice. Also, would it be weird to go there in a suit or should I just go with normal clothes?

Attached: classy_apu.jpg (754x1158, 85K)

Go in normal clothes unless the suit is part of a cosplay. Otherwise you will look overdressed as fuck among all the greasy weebs in their graphic meme tees

Yeah sorry, just telling it like it is. You should probably try going just to see how it works for yourself, life in general has a way of kicking my ass especially hard so maybe you'll like it a lot. I remember one time I went to a panel of some middle aged kendo guy with his wife and he kept making virgin jokes, that was rough especially when you're reminded of your place in the world while surrounded by a bunch of highschool couples.

If you're going to drink and act like that you're probably going to attract negative attention to yourself and might get kicked out, I don't know. I actually ended up drinking so much that I went to the bathroom and passed out on a stall for a while. But when I was still awake it was nice to just walk around and I even initiated conversation with a couple of people, keep a hold of yourself.
I will say that the time I wore a pop team epic shirt people started conversations with me a few times.

There are rooms with video games and manga which are definitely the best parts. That girl is a cosplayer she goes around with her cosplayer friends and take pictures of one another. If you go in a suit people are going to assume you're cosplaying, might work.

Ok so there are many different activites, theres the merch room where its basically the main part of the convention, theres meetups for cosplayers for photoshoots which takes a bit, panels both organised by fans, by famous voice actors, actors, or by the staff, the games room, apparently theres raves in American conventions so alot of you fuckers are lucky to have big ass conventions in hotels, yeah there are rooms to watch anime but not many people go watch it unless theres nothing on, and its better to be in more casual clothes instead of a suit if you are not cosplaying. It does get very hot in the con since theres so many people indoors. And it is a bit weird to wear a suit without a wig unless youre cosplaying agent 47 or something. Plus you have to walk around alot.

In general, conventions are just a fun social gathering or both weebs, normies and everyone.

Why do normals even bother going

Ironic weebs. I hope I don't have to see any of them tomorrow

Give it a shot. Worst case scenario you don't like it and you wasted a little gas money and time you would've otherwise blown shitposting here.
