can men and women have platonic relationships?
Can men and women have platonic relationships?
no. glad we could clear that up OP, go ahead and delete the thread so we don't have yet another f*mbot general going.
yes, but only with the understanding that one of them is sexually/romantically attracted to the other and is just putting up with not being able to make it reality
I have two male friends who are married.
We're not into each other sexually I'd assume.
some swear they can, but i know i can't. i have a hard time distinguishing between romance and friendship. so as soon as a girl is nice to me, i start falling in love, unironically.
Women can. Men can't
Yes, if they know each other in real life and neither of them is attracted to the other at all. Two really ugly people, basically.
If the man is gay, yes.
>neither of them is attracted to the other at all
is that even realistic
yes but only if both are in relationships. otherwise one party will develop feelings 99% of the time.
t. failednormie who has had what I thought was platonic friends with a group of females who played magic, but I'd later find out all 3 had crushes on me
them being in relationships doesn't stop them from being able to be sexually attracted to you
and vice versa
you are not wrong, but it'll stop any real feelings from developing outside of lust.
for me personally 1 female is all I need, so I don't even think about other women after I am in a relationship
I'm too much of an autistic pedophile for any other kind of relationship with women
Not very, but it's not impossible.
>implying male friends aren't attracted to each other
gay
I have a girlfriend and have developed feelings for platonic female friends, if only I could have 2 or 3 fucking girlfriends then I'd be fine but nooooo society dictates otherwise
Yes. I'm best friends with a guy that used to like me. He used to cuddle me plenty , but as the years passed he matured and stopped having feelings for me and stopped trying to feel me up. My husband doesn't mind him as my friend.
Only if one is homosexual/asexual
Otherwise, why not go ahead and have sex? If the answer is because the other is unattractive, it means your sexual standards are higher, predictably because you're more attractive, ergo the person will be sexually frustrated around you
alternatively, male personalities don't collide well with female values and personalities if sex isn't involved
all around the board, a bad idea
The only girls I could ever be completely platonic with were ugly
I LOVE this bait!
Have a (You), fellow 4channer!
yeah, why not? feelings can develop and attraction isn't always avoidable, but, personally speaking, i value a lot of my friendships enough that i wouldnt want to screw it up with dating and potentially losing them.
I have several platonic female friends. We're not super close and don't really hang out one on one (although I wouldn't mind it), but I like seeing them at get-togethers and such. Our friendships/interactions don't change whether I'm single or dating someone.
You sound like a hugely insuffererable faggot
you sound like someone with a lot of friends
Yes,but it really depends on the people involved. Some guys could never do it, they fall for any woman who smiles at them. For women, they might constantly suspect, that the guy likes them and treat him differently because of that.
Also age is a big factor.
>friends
>don't even hang out one on one
user, that's not a friend, that's just someone you know.
i know this is bait but for the case it isn't: it's the opposite
I had a good group of friends in high school, we hanged out all together and never one on one simply because we were all friends with each other.
We're still friends years after.
It happens but the majority of the time is a big no. One side will get too attached and it all becomes a big mess.
any girl wanna be my platonic friend
