Perfect game desu. Just be prepared to sink a lot of hours in, and no matter what /v/ or underages tell you, play the game at 20-30fps if you're on PC. The game is better if it regularly drops to 20-25fps, makes perfect dodging harder. Don't give up, no matter how tedious things get, and do not read any spoilers or youtube videos or anything until you are finished, and don't click spoiler boxes when going through the game. If you can find a way, watch the stageplay if you want to, but it's optional, probably better to wait and watch it after you've gotten ending c or d, at least. Not him.

Nicer Automata is an OK game

At first the underlying mechanics were a bit strange and the gameplay loop was blurry. Although, the hour long prologue is awesome. Once you get used to it it's very enjoyable. I like all the characters and the combat is fluid. It has a good fusion of story and action. I'm constantly excited to continue through the main story, though the side missions are mediocre grind filler. The frame-rate is generally unstable and there are some minor bugs.

The whole thing is fun to play and there are specific moments that are phenomenal. It was many folks' GOTY for a good reason.

Also, if you need autosaves and other AAA faggotry to play a game, or don't like tedium, you might not like it. Most people take around 10-15 hours to finish the tutorial their first go around, likely dying dozens of times. The tutorial is may take you up to an hour and a half, and if you die at any point, you're booted back to the main menu. Go into the game without any clear-cut expectations, and if you have the time, watch GiTS 1+2, Evangelion, and Berserk beforehand, if you haven't already, to get yourself ready. Best if you marathon all 3 (Berserk 1997 or the 3 Golden Age movies, Eva+EoE, and the GiTS movies) and immediately start playing the game afterwards. /v/-tards will shit on this, but you're best going into the game if you're emotionally exhausted and in a thinky mood already.

Tedium, as in "prepare to get stuck on the tough bossfights 20-30+ hours of gameplay, and the easier ones for 5-10+. This is where that "constantly dipping to 20-25 fps and going no higher than 30fps" comes in, it signicantly raises the amount of time you'll spend on the game. There's a guy I'm my apartment complex who I convinced to buy. The game, and he's already halfway through playthrough C with less than 60 hours of gameplay (probably less, but he bought it less than a month ago), playing on normal (he's not into difficult games, so he may have turned it down to easy a time or two). The tutorial though, that shit is rough on hard/very hard, and you might even get to the point where you have the script memorized and be talking along with the game by the end of the tutorial. It also makes hitting the firdt oppurtunity to save the first time the most relieving feeling you'll feel for a long time.

Most anons just stick to one or two, maybe three after a while, don't they? Jow Forums and /jp/ are the only fun boards for me, don't know about anyone else.

Brave New World, Ficciones and Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson. I meant to read BNW years ago but it was never at the library near me, now I'm reading it and I like it, even if it is entry level and reddit as fuck (I have the same opinion on 1984). It started with occasionally awkward prose but I haven't noticed that many issues recently, and obviously the ideas are interesting. Ficciones is fucking amazing, I'm only 4 stories in but it's definitely a favourite with the way Borges writes fiction that feels like non fiction - the first three stories feel like essays except that what they're talking about isn't real. Mother Tongue is an entertaining pop-linguistics read, I know it's hardly an authoritative source but it's funny and interesting. I was also reading Oyasumi Punpun but I stopped, I'll get back around to it

i used to play osu, but i hated how extremely combo reliant the game is to the point that you basically get nothing if you dont full combo a song, and it also feels more like an aiming game rather than a rhythm game, i should probably get into other vsrg games, iidx seems pretty fun, tried it at a friends house, though the 7 key layout needs some getting used to

fair. iidx is certainly more enjoyable on an asc but majority of good bms players are kb players, so it's certainly doable. 7k in general feels very awkward initially regardless of what you play it on

Actually started 2 days ago, just finished the Malfestio urgent quest, I'm fairly new to MH, started from MHW and got bored cause I feel like I already did everything there is to be done in it.

Rhythm games are pretty cool.

There's a round 1 about a half hour away from me, but the DDRA machine is always hogged by the same bunch of Dancejocks :( The rest of the rhythm selection is pretty rad though.

There's a classic arcade (REALLY classic and homemade stuff) that has some modern stuff and there's a Jubeat machine there. That game is awesome, though I wish I could find Reflec Beat anywhere near me.

Graphically, I didn't really have any complaints, I'm actually enjoying the anime/cartoony style of the game rather than the realistic style of MHW, feels much more light-hearted. Gameplay wise, was kind of tedious at first getting used to the movement, certainly felt much more crisp in MHW, but I'm still enjoying the gameplay of MHGU after getting used to it, currently running great sword valor style, I like how fast paced the gameplay on a great sword can be. As for difficulty, I haven't really encountered much difficulty monster wise so far, but I'm still very early in the game so I can't really judge on that aspect. Overall it's pretty fun.

Ace is always packed. My old D&B used to have lines of 8 on Sundays. I suck at DDR, though. Can't even play 14s.
The arcade near me is, in my opinion, actually cooler than most Round1s on this coast, but I still can't find time to visit.

Oh I'm shit at all rhythm games. I just enjoy them. I like most of the mainstream stuff I guess. I used to play stepmania at home, but I had to give the hard dance pads I was borrowing back. :( I like DDR, Jubeat, Reflec Beat, Sound Voltex, a bit of Groove Coaster, Drummania, a bit of Beatmania. Like I said I'm not very good at these, but it's still fun.

Yeah R1 is suffocating on weekends so I haven't gone in a long time. They had half price DDR on Tuesdays, but then it became even more crowded and I gave up going.

frankly, im not good at anything outside of iidx either. i only get to play iidx on regular basis anyway
ironically there's a less popular d&b near me now, has a pump cab. it's not the greatest but it's always empty on Wednesdays. pretty much my only option at improving at dance games. still sucking, though.
