Our educational system is a complete failure as it basically grooms our children to become corporate economic slaves while discouraging them to ask questions and to follow their own path.

>How far did your schooling go?
Went into the trades immediately after highschool. I wanted to go to university but I didn't have the money and I needed a steady income to support myself and my sister. It turned out for the better though.
I ended up talking a lot with the people I took jobs for and usually left a really strong impression. One impression was so strong it actually landed me a job writing for a local publication. I eventually worked my way up to a much larger corporation, and now I spend the majority of my time working and living in another country. I seriously didn't expect life to play out like it has.

It's a grind. I just try to minimize the bullshit I have to do, become more combative about the shit people impose on me and expect me to do and try to orient towards projects that are less shitty. Most people are morons, me included, you can literally jack off all day and get by with bare effort. School was a meme.

Go to MIT OCW and watch their lectures.

>dig trenches for irrigation systems now
hey I do that too i fucking hate it
School was a meme indeed. In the end nothing matters. Years of hard work, getting no sleep, having no hobbies, no friends or relationships. All to make something of myself. None of it mattered. Success doesn't matter.
law, gonna kms
I relate to the Boomer meme more and more after graduating. Stay strong, user. Life is about cultivating your little garden of meaning.

I'm a senior in my highschool (18), and I want to take the sat again. When I first took the test I got a 1470, I want a 1500+. For those who have good math scores, is there a way to back solve on every question? I want this 1500+ badly and would like some advice
>is there a way to back solve on every question
No, there is no way
I got a 790/800 (1 problem wrong)
to answer your question, no. if you don't know what, for example, vertex form is, you're never going to be able to work it backwards.
just know the basics and apply it to every problem lol
>How far did your schooling go?
I'm a senior in university.
>SAT(1600 or 2400)/ACT/TOEFL/other equivalents?
I scored a 30 on the ACT. My English and readings scores were 35, which is at or above the 99th percentile. My science sub-score was reasonably high. I didn't study and that was reflected in my figure for mathematics--it was either average or slightly below-average.
>If uni, what tier school?
Top 100 university, second-best in the state (first-best is Top 10 in the country).
>If uni, what major?
Neuroscience and anthropology. Going to do a grad degree in anthro. I know earning opportunities are limited, but I'd rather spend my life poor and doing something I find moderately interesting than sticking my cock into a wad of dollar bills forever.
>Got any loans/scholarships?
I get scholarships for being poor. I was an awful high school student, though. One of my biggest regrets is my high school GPA. I think I was around a 2.7 or 2.8. If I'd had over a 3.0, my ACT scores would have given me a full-ride to the best school in my state, which is, as I said, one of the most prestigious in the country.
>If graduated uni, are you working in your field of study?
I'll apply to graduate programs next fall.
>vertex form
it's been a few years since I took the SAT but isn't this middle school stuff? I don't mean to be rude but how does a junior not know the basics of algebra

negatory, if i go to top 600 piece of shit its basically all free tho
>If graduated uni, are you working in your field of study?
for accounting yeah in b4 or regional firm
>(first-best is Top 10 in the country).
wat? there aren't any public universities in the top 10 unless you're not from the US. Berkeley is borderline top 20 and it's very hard to get into even in CA.
order the QAS if they still offer that service
Ranking went down, I guess. It's closer to 20 right now, but it has some programs which are in the top 10.

No scholarships because there's nothing unique about me. I get loans from the government, but they recently got a massive cut because my dad accidentally took a tax break without researching the consequences of doing so.
>If graduated uni, are you working in your field of study?
When and if I graduate, I honestly don't know if I'll be working a cyber security job. I'm halfway through the major and I haven't learned any skills whatsoever. I'm not even that interested in the subject, but I don't know what else I could major in.

While only smart people or liars might want to post in this thread, it still seems like robots are pretty smart. College can be isolating as hell so it probably brings us here, idk.
I have a bachelor's degree in business management and received nothing from it.
My student loans got paid off because of dumb luck (dying relative being generous and my mom's friend owing money to us).
Anything useful I learned I could have done outside of the classroom with online encyclopedias and Youtube videos and for a way lower price both financial and mental. In matter of fact, I learned far more useful things on my own than through school ranging from books both digital and physical, online encyclopedias such as Britannica, archaeological articles, and videos. So much was omitted from grade school that I am convinced that sending kids to public grade school is child abuse.
I did have a few friends in college but they live in different parts of the country now so we only occasionally communicate online. Same goes for any high school friends I had.
