Jow Forums what are your thoughts on arm wrestling? After a few goes I already felt slight pain in my elbow, is it really the road to snap city?
Arm wrestling
I still have a click in my elbow, that I pop at least 10x a day, that from drunken arm wrestling years ago.
Also got a buddy whose shoulder is constantly hurting him from arm wrasslin
You can't increase your bone density at the same rate you increase your strength.
>Eventually your muscle strength is greater than your bone strength.
I literally luagh out loud everytime I see an arm wrestler's arm break, it's what all dumbasses deserve.
what's up with that gay shit he's doing in this webm? did he came out as a fag publicly?
what the fuck is he doing
only thing missing there is him grabbing the other guys dick and jerking him off
I watched a few ARMWRESTLING TV videos and I couldn't help but wonder how they don't snap their shit up going hard @ arm wrestling all day.
>he doesn't display his dominance over the manlet before destroying it at arm wrestling
not gonna make it.
>the guy on the lefts face
By the time they get there, they've been lifting and doing sport-specific training for a long time.
People have done some real damage to themselves in arm wrestling (Nathan Jones breaking his arm is the big example) but it's usually the result of very strong people trying something new and going hard.
>arm wrestle couple of mates drunk
>arm wrestling matches are grinders
>everything’s fine we’re having a good old time
>fast forward next morning
>elbow is in massive pain
>brush it off
>try benching 1pl8 later that day, literally unable to
>couldn’t do a single push day without elbow pain for 3 months
fuck arm wrestling, wouldn’t recommend

I want that guy to destroy my ass. not even gay.
The type of strain you put on it, is very similar I see with JJ, judo and bjj. It can potentially pop your elbow, which will never heal fully.
I have pain forever in both my elbows, it interferes with my bench, ohp and sometimes even squat (although this happens when I place the weight to low on the back). It doesn't make lifting impossible, just painful at times.
So I would steer away from it.
Also shoulder injuries are possible and breaking your arm. And all that for a pointless metric of strength.
Yeah, let's just lie down and rot. Fuck off defeatist leftie.
It's also from using improper technique. You should never arm wrestle unless you have learnt the proper technique. If you twist your arm you start putting all the force onto the smaller bone in your forearm and that's the one that snaps.
Friend of mine actually managed to break his arm while doing this retarded shit. Obviously drunk, obviously while trying to impress thots.
I rather reserve the remaining function in my joints for lifting and bjj, but you can go arm wrestling. I still think it is a rather pointless strength metric though.
The point is, you should never armwrestle without a qualified mentor watching your form so you won't snap your shit when you just start out. When obvious newbs try to spar, they usually wreck each other, it's the same with armwrestling. Like any other discipline, it requires a proper technique.
That is a fair point.
