Getting a gf is hard.

There are a lot of positives but no one mentioned two of the biggest cons of a partner. GFs are an absolute vampire on all of your free time. If you have any hobbies or goals that you wish to pursue, then you must lay them out up front so she can understand how important they are to you. It's always way too easy to waste an entire weekend doing nothing but fucking, laying around, and watching anime/movies/whatever together.

The friends part is rough too if you don't like their friends at all but you'll be forced to interact with them. Some may be ok so stick to them, also you have to make sure that you don't appear to favor one of her female friends over her otherwise she'll get really jealous. Their family really shouldn't be an issue unless they're actually deranged people. I've never had a bad experience with meeting a gf's family, they tend to get along with me more than their daughter.

I got to go out more and do more events than I would have done single because I had someone to share the experience with in an unfamiliar situation.
