I feel your pain, user. I was told during the hiring process for my job that the max I'd be getting was 27. Lately though, I've been getting 34-40 hours because our manager is helping elsewhere, so I'm filling in as the full time employee.
The money is nice, but I'm exhausted. I haven't had a day just to relax in a month. I miss being a NEET, but I can't quit since I need the money.
I don't know if I'd recommend that you quit unless you straight up despise the work, but you should stress your availability to them. If you live with supportive parents or something and you do hate the work, then I'd recommend trying to find something else that pays better than McDonalds.
