Computer won't boot

>computer won't boot
>planning to send it to a shop to get it repaired
>remember my computer's password is "niggerkiller1488"

Unironically considering suicide

fix it yourself retard, you're a NEET figure it out

that's what you get for making such a cringey password

Mate you don't seem appreciate how shit search engines and forums are for trying to fix computer issue.

PM'd you the fix ;)

Thanks Mr Patel from Bangladesh!

*raises paw*
Well hello there" first of all i would like to welcome you to our forum! Second you should have used the search function before making a post and this problem only happens if you pirate so enjoy your ban ;)

I have a similar problem in that my main e-mail has the word nigger in it.

how do you deal with the obvious problems that email brings? Has anyone said anything about it?

If anyone ever asks me for my e-mail I just say I don't have one.

> purchase new hardrive and clean install
> if by some bad luck it still doesnt start, you take it to the shop

It isnt that hard OP.

I hate the idea that spoonfeeding is a bad thing in tech forums.
It's really specifically programming forums.
Do programmers have an inflated ego inherently?
I mean, in my experience on other forums concerning other fields, when you ask a question you get a direct answer in a reply, not a link to documentation or a shitty textbook recommendation.
It's best to provide both I believe.
For example, when you ask a professor for mathematics help, if they were to tell you to fuck off and read the text, it would be generally frowned upon.

yet this is exactly what all professors tend to do.

For a forum like Tom's Hardware I think the people there are just straight up fucking retarded who can't help in the slightest which is why they always just redirect you to a different thread.
But ego comes into play because they have score/reputation(?) for their profiles so they just make a useless post thinking they're helping when they're actually doing nothing other than messing up the search engine results.

I have NEVER seen a legitimately helpful post on Tom's Hardware

Take it apart and clean the surfaces, there will be a wikihow for this, and put it back together.

I'm a technician, explain the issue in detail.
>won't boot
Does it power on? Does it try to load windows? and stuff like that...

kek dont tell an inexperienced person to do this.
>electrostatic damage
>will probably use dish soap
>use abrasive cleaning cloth
>willl reseat RAM ad other components wrong

Guy at worst has a corrupted HD/SSD.

Also this. wont boot is vague

Realistically, theres no way for a computer to fail that is both repairable and not repairable by you. Why dont you decide to actually try and fix it.

Also, when youre done fixing your computer can you figure out a way to save phoneposters from these fucking ads? Theyre repulsive. Thanks in advance.

>get jury duty
>planning to go in
>remember that I changed my legal name to Hitler K. Niggerkiller
oh fuck

Are there really no legal restrictions on names? At some point its just fuckng dumb lmao.

op here, just realized the computer has been unplugged.

Based.

Nah, I've gotten my computer fixed plenty of times, if it's a hardware issue, they don't need your password to fix it, dw.

Okay, here's what happened.
>October 16
>Install Witcher 3
>play for 2 days
>works fine, apart from making my room hot
>come 19th October (today), I press the power on button on my PC
>powers on for 5 seconds with fans spinning and LEDs lit then turns off.
>5 seconds later will turn again by itself and starts a repeating loop restarting over and over
>remove CMOS
>wait 2 mins put back in
>no change
>change RAM to the other slots
>no change
>remove RAM and plug in my headphone so I can hear a diagnostic beep
>no change and no beep
>try to boot again while tapping F8 on my keyboard to get into BIOS
>no change

It's a double suicide now

Thanks, that's mildly reassuring. What kind problems did your PC have that they fixed?

Do people actually talk like that?

That's a boot loop. I lost a motherboard like that, but it started rebooting by itself and then it stopped booting at all. Usually it doesn't happen so suddenly, you get many signs that it's failing.
>plug in my headphone so I can hear a diagnostic beep
That's not gonna work. You would need to plug a specific speaker on the motherboard. But in your case, I doubt you would hear anything.
>tapping F8 on my keyboard to get into BIOS
You should check the motherboard manual, but usually it's not F8.
It's often either "del" or F2.
>remove CMOS
>wait 2 mins put back in
That's probably too little. Try removing the battery for more than 30 minutes. 10 or 15 should be enough, but try 30 just to be sure.

Only forumfags.

forum admins do
I would start with replacing the power supply

hey justin, hows the job hunt going.

Fix it yourself retard

>That's a boot loop. I lost a motherboard like that, but it started rebooting by itself and then it stopped booting at all. Usually it doesn't happen so suddenly, you get many signs that it's failing.

[screams internally]
Could you go into more detail? What were the signs that it's failing?

I'll try that.

>dog is broken and won't listen to commands
>want to take him to get proper trained
>remember that i changed his name to Sir Niggerkiller

>plug in my headphone so I can hear a diagnostic beep

Bump to support OP oregano tested

thank you fren
just waiting for the CMOS to rest

Technician user, you still here?

Maybe the ram got loose. that's always been my problem.

>Could you go into more detail? What were the signs that it's failing?
It started rebooting by itself, at first every 10/15 minutes, then always more frequently, until it started rebooting while it was still booting, and ended up just like yours.
Anyway, try clearing cmos like I told you, if it doesn't work, try another power supply.

top fucking kok

Remove the hard drive, pour water on it then put it back. They'll replace the hard drive and fix the other problem. You'll lose your data and have to buy a new hard drive though

thnx I'll try this!

At least that's not your playstation network nickname.

he won't need the password for boot problems

Phoneposters....
reddit.com/r/Jow Forums/comments/9pgiaf/user_messed_up_big_time/

send it they wont need the password to make it boot dont tell them

This reminded me of when I was a preteen and made an account to play SWTOR when it went F2P and I set some security questions I forgot about until I forgot my password. I had to talk with some indian american chick on the phone and answer my questions until I got to
>"Who is my favorite person"
I responded
>"uh idunno can't remember that one"
and she responded angrily
>"You put adolf hitler!"
and I was all like
>"ohhh darn my brother must've messed around with my account hahahaha"

Somehow I didn't get banned or anything, she still gave me my password too but it didn't matter because I stopped playing that piece of shit within a week of that. Thanks for reminding me of my teenage cringe OP

Use an adblocking DNS server.

I am going to report you right now you fucking underage.

>preteen when SWTOR came out
Yeah it wasnt 6 years ago. Enjoy your ban.

>and she responded angrily
>"You put adolf hitler!"

Not that it matters but I fibbed a bit out of habit on the age when it happened. I was already in high school at the time. I was probably around 15-16.

just take out the boot disk then retard

If you acknowledge that it's a joke I don't see a problem. It might be a little awkward but if you just act cool it'll only be a little awkward for the tech worker. It's just kinda funny

what? seriously?
