I accidentally poured cold water on my tea instead of re-boiling the kettle and instead of making a new cup I thought no bother this is how the Americans do it, it can't be that bad, so I put the tea in the microwave and microwave it until it is warm and jesus christ this is the worst thing I have ever tasted I am absolutely appalled by your entire nation what the fuck are you doing and desu lad I want reparations for this shit you owe me one cuppa

Hey colony- user. Thanks for the chuckle.

Just for the record, we nuke our water before making the tea. Not after. Not really sure if that would make a difference, but you wouldn't put the teabag in the kettle before you boiled it, would you?

I took the teabag out to microwave it (it had already soaked)

fuck off yuropoor

>he can't withstand the full and wholesome taste of microwaves and radiation
Heh, leave the manly stuff to men kid.

I never heard of anyone do that fren. We just put a buncha ice and sugar in it.

read that in a super mutant voice from fallout

So what you're saying is that water that has been heated via microwave makes your tea taste worse compared to water that has been heated in a kettle.

Riiiiiight....

There's a difference in taste between tea made with water that has been properly boiled and with water that hasn't reached 100°C

good picture

Attached: 15_0.png (359x347, 5K)

just heat it more then

This thread is why we need Jow Forums

I'm not saying anything about the quality of tea made by heating water in a microwave. I'm saying that the difference in taste perceived by OP could be attributed to him not properly boiling the water in the microwave, but instead just heating it up to somewhere below 100°C.

In short, it's your fault stop blaming America.

Who tf drinks tea. We only drink Pepsi here

Americans can't understand how bad this problem is.

Yeah why not superheat it? That sounds safe.

I'll email you one lad, I don't even drink tea that much I won't miss it.

Since this is basically an America-UK friendship thread, please allow me to ask this question of my British Jow Forums colleagues:
How do you guys tend to view the American War for Independence? Was one side in the right and one in the wrong?

BASED

I've met like 2 people in my entire life with a serious opinion on this either way. All of them were pro-Burger

The simplest answer is, I promise you, no one outside of history students cares

Cool, thanks John Smith

No one really gives a shit. At the time it wasn't all that important to the British either since we had just split French America with the Spanish and kept all of Canada.

Ignoring that wall generally I think people should be able to govern themselves, mostly good things have come out of it since so yeah it's fine. No one sees it as some sort of grudge though, there seems to be some kind of weird circle jerk about it in America, I suppose your history only goes back a few hundred years but British history isn't focused around one time we kinda killed some niggas and they left the country.

I had to do it for GCSE, god was it fucking boring.

Yeah, this
