I've actually contacted Google with their official legal form. I requested they remove search results that display my full name and photo. I'm not a celebrity or anything so there shouldn't be any historically important reason for keeping the info there. My reason for wanting this is simply that I realized a person should have the right to be in control what information a company portrays about me on their site. Google is just a company. We always forget that. They're not gods of the Internet. And let's not forget that anything Google displays on their search resides on their servers. It's not like the just innocently pull stuff off the Internet and then wash their hands, they copy it on their servers and distribute it.
Anyway, in the reply I got, some pissed off Google employee simply stated that >you need to contact the administrator of that site with your information, we don't care >whatever info on you we display on our site is displayed because we have the right to distribute information
They were very strict that displaying me on Google was their right - and it was bigger than my right to be removed from there. Unbelievable. I know it doesnt add up to much on a global scale but using Chrome, Gmail, Google apps and their search engine daily started feeling stupid after that incident.
