Chris was misdiagnosed from the start. Yes he has aspergers but the primary diagnosis should actually be schizophrenia.
Every little kid has imaginary friends and draws shitty cartoons of people they know IRL fighting robots and stuff but for him this continued long into his 20's and 30's and he legitimately started believing that he had magic powers among other things.
