Superiority complex is a convenient way to cover up low self-esteem speaking from experience and the most common argument of straight-edge folk is "I'm better than you because I don't do drugs". Then add in the dumb idea most people here that all normies are drug addicts (even though all they accept is weed and alcohol on weekends) and voila.

Exactly this - not drinking until I was in my mid 20s probably set me back years of social development.

And honestly it's fucking fun to get drunk once and a while.

I agree completely, but there are also people who genuinely aren't interested, or dislike alcohol/drugs for personal reasons, but can still respect everyone's decision to drink/do drugs without being dicks about it

Yeah when I had a job last year some normie coworkers invited me over to drink so I went with them. They were impressed at how much I was able to drink (even though that means I just had a tolerance) and it was a good boost to my self esteem to be normal in a social setting for once.

using this method i lost the khv status and had practice gf for few weeks. jut couple of days later i started fucking 9/10 stacy. it lasted 2 months then i broke off. she was too stupid to see what was going on and by that time my ego was so inflated that she wasn't really needed anymore

People can have fun when they're sober. Being drunk/high just enhances it. It also gives everyone an excuse if they do something retarded, so they can cut back a little more, and be more fun to be around without worrying about being weird.

I don't miss how cold it is back home rn, the beach is awesome even with a little red tide. It's pretty chill down here, laid back lifestyle

They are mostly acting and it's part of their personality. Even when I'm near blackout I don't do any wild shit, I'm probably louder and more talkative.

You'd have to be charismatic as hell to get away with going out on the town Friday nights with friends and not drink. The truth is those friends would see you as a downer, odd, or judgmental, nuisance and probably wouldn't invite you out anyway. Truthfully you probably as a sober person don't necessarily want to just hang out with people drinking either.

Joined a fraternity to force myself out of my comfort zone and I feel like they all just tolerate me. That area has a prominent drinking atmosphere, especially in the college's, I think at least. but you don't really need to drink to hang out with people who are drinking and still have fun, so don't listen to these stupid fucks trying to sway you

For one you don't have to get blackout drunk it takes a lot of fucking alcohol to get to the point where you have legit memory loss. If you drink a ton, sure you might not remember bits and pieces but do you currently remember every detail of yesterday, of course not.

You are determining whether or not you like or can enjoy something based on absolute extremes. Whether it's your annoying roommates who are probably the type to have a couple of beers and act blackout drunk or TV sitcoms..
