people propagate it because its probably the easiest legitimate blanket solution that a figure in authority can provide
not saying it's because it works, infact it doesnt work a whole lot, but inevitably there's that one prick kid picking another just to get a ruse and ignoring them is just a way to get them to fuck off to someone else or get bored

If someone's saying something to you verbally it's better just to ignore it unless they continue then tell them to fuck off and if they don't they start a fight.

If you ever get """cyberbullied""" just ignoring them is the easiest thing to do unless you're autistic or they're trying to doxx you.

If someone is being physical to you it's better to try to fighting back is better for you even if you lose.

You know people who attack you do it because they don't expect you to fight back? They will get shocked when you first hit back and that can be an advantage.

I'm not that good at fighting but as long as you're not a complete onions and do some basic practice by yourself you should be able to fight and lose in a "respectable" way, and they might know that you don't take shit and leave you alone, doing nothing and taking it won't help you.

And if they still continue to bully you just find that weak tag along in the group no one cares about and specifically target him. That pussy submissive bitch fucking deserves it.

Better advice would be to transition at an early age if you think you have a chance of passing, then if you're lucky just have guys compliment you daily and treat you like you either don't exist (a huge bonus) or treat you like a princess. Girls are non threatening compared to being bullied by men

The way I've thought about it is that you just have to one up, makes them warier of continuing.

They insult you, you insult them back better, of course, this takes wit, confidence, etc.

With physicality, it's a bit different. For example, if they barge you ignoring them is probably best. If it's continuous you have to appeal to the crowd, "hey dude that's not cool, you got to stop that". Make sure the crowd is aware of what is happening. From here they will either back down or escalate if they escalate a fight is about to break out and it would no longer be considered a sucker punch to attack them (never suck punch unless absolutely necessary).

If you beat him in the fair fight he will most likely leave you alone due to public embarrassment and not wanting to get his ass kicked again. Or he might escalate it further (I'll get onto that).

If you lose however an honorable person sucks it up and deals with it, it was a fair fight after all. Hopefully, this satisfies the guy and he will respect you more for standing your ground as will other and leave you alone. He might not, however.

If he continues to physically harass you when it's already known he can beat your ass it is now no longer a fair fight. Depending on how crazy you are there are different ways to deal with it. You can get the authorities involved at this point and probably get them serious jail time. How I'd deal with it is probably take a baseball bat or another blunt object and beat his ass with it the next time he assaults you, hopefully, I wouldn't get jail time.

Anyway, the only way I feel like he could escalate it further from that point is to gang assault you or attack you with a weapon. In both of these scenarios, it's clear a fair fight is definitely not what they want which means I would no longer fight fair. I won't tell you what I'd do in this scenario but you can imagine.

Anyway, I'm a small guy but I've never been bullied, if you get bullied you're stupid.

Idk I had two bullies. Made them both feel like such shit that they went into depression spells. Attack their character and who they are. I am a bigger piece of shit than they are / were so it worked out for me.

If you want to be the bigger man then yeah. Learn to defend yourself but largely ignore them. Just know that after high school bullies are more prevalent and come in all types so if you do not know how to deal with them you will be in a cycle. You either get bullied or follow them like a sick puppy. Just know you should work on your ability to make verbal comebacks or -strike from the shadows-. Outright beating someone up is just jail time and being too much of a prick is a good way to fuck yourself from jobs.
