Nightwalks don't really work outside of decently populated urban areas. In my little shithole suburb I wouldn't see anything interesting and have almost a 100% shot of being accosted by a crackhead at any given turn.

I live in Melbourne, Australia, and it's a perfect city for night walking.
Besides the shitload of people driving around the nights are dead silent and peaceful, and people have all sorts of interesting decorations in their front yards.
One house I used to walk past had a bunch of garden gnomes impaled on spikes, with fake blood and everything.
Because the crime is so low I can just listen to podcasts through my headphones and not give a fuck.
It's very comfy.

I moved from Brisbane, who's only good feature is that it's a fifteen minute drive from the only three proper theme parks in Australia.
Brisbane is an incredibly humid city, and every time I went out on a night walk people would shout at me from their cars. In Brisbane anyone on foot late at night must obviously be a criminal.

Those are the best walks. I like going into most scary/dangerous situations imagining that I'll die no matter what I do. It helps me kinda relax. Like the first few times you go on a rollercoaster, just take a deep breath and come to terms with your death. Afterwards when you didn't die it was just a nice experience.
