What the fuck this is literally me. I don't remember the doomer meme being this relatable. Can't believe someone thought to include the part about liking pop until the intro is over. It happens to me so often and I haven't found a single person who feels that way irl.
The tracks are, all things considered, produced by technically proficient people, but once the nigger/roastie starts singing they instantly devolve into indistinct mush.
I do like plenty of music with voice, though i can't say i care for the lyrics themselves. The boomer conservatives who go straight to the lyrics for their quarrel with modern music make me facepalm pretty hard.

To be honest I've found a couple of funeral doom bands talking about shit like love and relationships, but still keeping the sound real. That sound that I just can't imagine a large number of normies getting into, they might hear a song on YT and like it but if they actually try getting into it they'll run back to normal BM and Doom soon.

eh, I'm sure I'm exaggerating a little, obviously. But a lot of them literally are teenagers when they start. The first Shining album came when the dude was (I think) like 16.
I'm also probably too down on the genre because I think people are too generous with what they allow to be DSBM. The genre has a very specific sound and anything outside that doesn't really count. Stuff like Drowning the Light isn't DSBM to my standards, for example.
