My gym used to have a rack that you could set the bar as low or high as you needed it. I would ohp and deadlift there all the time.

i do this during peak hours because we have two racks but limited floor space to do them elsewhere. also we've got sort of annoying plates that have a tendency to roll forward so positioning the bar to where the rack stops it from doing that can be helpful

My gym has the platforms attached to the racks. Fortunately there are 7 racks and 6 dedicated benches, so it's never super crowded.
