It all started after I beat the fuck out of this kid that kept messing with me in school, to the point that he went into a coma I was 9 though. They said that if I had empathy I would've stopped hitting him after he passed out. Just sounds like a load of shit to me though because I was on an adrenaline high and in fight or flight mode.
Everyone I knew hated that cunt though. Felt like superman afterward. Funny thing was, I was only suspended for two weeks. Everyone was afraid of me afterwards. Didn't make any friends after that. Even now in college I only have a handful of kinda-sorta friends.

Not really, no. There's empathetic people that are assholes and vice versa. I lack empathy for example, I don't feel a damn thing not even when my mother is crying, but I can recognize it's bad and still try to support her. Same for other stuff, I don't give a shit if your dog died, you got fired, your gf left you, whatever, but I do know that morally speaking, showing so blatantly how it doesn't affect me is rude (and my narcissist side encourages me to keep a good status) so I pretend I care and act nicely. Ironically, I'm extremely polite and people constantly mention how kind and thoughtful I am and this just leads more people into wanting to vent with me, but I really don't feel a thing nor do I care. I just give cookie cutter feel good replies and improve my image for my own selfish reasons. So yeah, two different things.
