Your son is to either have a book or a ball in his hands.
No television, no internet, no ipad, if you do these things, time to stop
You need to get him in a nice neighborhood with lots of younger kids around his age, he needs to be outside playing sports with them almost at all times. If he's not playing sports, he should be reading, studying, and doing homework.
Do nothing for your child. Tie his shoes up until he's of age, then let the shoe strings just flop around until he learns how to tie them. Do not be persuaded by his whining and crying. Force him to solve his problems on his own, only offer him guidance. Teach him that life is hard.
Do discipline your child. If you've got a kid playing sports being a good kid, you won't have to often, but yes, if the situation calls for physical discipline, then use physicality. Do not let your child do whatever the fuck he wants. Make sure he understands that his own selfish wants and needs do not come before everyone elses.
Just get him active and involved as much and often as possible. Put him in 3 sports a year, join a local boy scout group, have him attend bjj classes, the more you can get him out, the better he's going to develop and the more reference experiences of people he's going to have.
Pay to have your child in private school.
Force him to do daily exercise, like a mile run, pushups, sit ups, no matter what. Nothing can stop this. Physical discipline if necessary. When a child grows up and is pushed like this every day, he comes to realize it's not really that hard to maintain daily routines, and he sees his advantage over other kids. This is what made Arnold Arnold.
